    3" susp lift, 265's
    Hi there,

Ive had my tacoma for about 3 months now and have been cruising the forums for all that time, and finally registered, first of all: I love the truck :D

the truck has 36K miles and is a 2006 Prerunner SR5 crew cab, and black

lets see.. im a student at the university of texas at san antonio, my previous vehicle was a mitsubishi evolution, and i loved that car too but ran into trouble and had to get rid of it, but none the less im just as happy if not happier with my truck.

as far as mods go, 3" body lift, pro comp alloys wrapped in 265's. And im thinking of going bigger if i can on this lift.

thanks for looking at the thread :)

Welcome to TW! With a 3" lift, you could jump to 285/75/16. I wouldn't do a 3" body lift, You'd be far better off with a spacer lift or adjustable coil-overs.

yeah i understand where you're coming from, truck was a steal for the price and already came with lift/tires/rims. In time I would like to jump to a 6", but it is almost useless as the trucks a 4X2 :(

with 285s there aren't issues with rubbing i presume?

and ill get pics up asap :)

If you jump to 6" and can afford it, get a drop bracket type of lift. They run $1500+/- and up. There are also spindles that will give a prerunner 4" I think.

With 285's, you'll need to remove front mudflaps, probably trim some inner fender plastic and watch your UCAs
