Rake is awesome

 

Kind of a stank bug. I like a little rake, but this is too much as of now. I was thinking of raising the front, but by buying the wheelers add a leaf, it would drop the rear .5-.75" which I think would be perfect. That and it should hopefully kill my spring squeak at the same time.

 

@BartMaster1234 you doing that BMW transfer case knob got me thinking. Ive always liked those retro semi transparent colored shift knobs. I found a place that will make me one with the J Shift pattern on it. Add it to the list of wants I guess. I have these 2 ports exposed at the air intake on my 1999 v6. Looks like there use to be or suppose to be hoses there. I have looked over the truck and cant find where they might go. Any ideas?

 

while we are at it, it looks lle something goes here too. Drivers side. 3 hose supports on a rigid rail. No idea

The only reason I'm doing the BMW 6-speed knob swap, and I mean the only reason I'm doing it is because it's so ridiculous.

 

Ok I see now they make adapters. How exactly are you gonna make that thing light up without leaving a ghetto looking wire hanging out?

I just want the normal J shift logo on it cuz Im afraid Id forget lol. Dont use it that much.

 

Its for EGR. Some trucks have it some dont.
Normal there are just little rubber caps on those 2 pipes

 

Run it through the boot. That's how it is stock on BMW's. I'll splice it to the transmission shifter backlight.

 

My AllPro leafs with the greaseable shackles and eye bolts have never squeaked.

 

Too bad you cant graft the proper pattern on to it. But wouldnt you still be able to see the wire? The boot doesn't go all the way up the stick in my truck.

 

Remember what I said about it being ridiculous? That's why I want the 6-Speed manual pattern. How ridiculous is it to see an M5 6-speed manual shifter in an Automatic Tacoma?

The boot for the transfer case goes all the way up in my truck.

 

Said it before and Ill say it again, its the add a leaf that squeaks. If I spray it with grease right on the ends, it stops temporarily. It doesn't have anti squeak shims on it. Bushings are fine.

 

You consider a different AAL or just new leafs?

 

They sell the shims stuff or sheets that go between it
