None of those deals are close to what you’re stating. You’re saying you paid 33k OTD. All of those deals are 33k or higher plus tax, title and license fees which are 2-3k more. I’m done arguing, enjoy your truck.

And all of those "here's the deal, should I take it?" and "dealer is offering" postings are not deals and are not sales. It's not a deal until the truck is sitting in your driveway. Several things can go wrong- the poster could have misinterpreted the offer, the rebate or incentive could have expired, the salesman could have "misspoke", the trade didn't get approved, the finance rate didn't get approved, etc.

I recently had a "deal" all worked out via text and phone - everything from year (2018) to down payment, to finance rate, to monthly payment- with a saleswoman on a 2018. She told me come in and let's do it. When I got there, there was not only no deal, there wasn't even a 2018 on the lot and they refused to even search for one for me. She wasn't even there after we made an appointment. So, it ain't a done deal until it's D.O.N.E. done.

The very FIRST one says 33K AFTER TAXES and everything else. The next one, if you do the math was 34,100.00!! The one after that says 35K OTD, but his sticker was 41,000, which was 3K higher than mine. Just because you didn’t/don’t haggle well, don’t try and call the rest of us that do, liars.

You’re done arguing because you don’t have an argument.

I’m actually looking for a white manual pro.
I’m actually looking for a white one. There are a couple in California and they both want a $7k+ markup which I refuse to pay.

Ok since you insist. Do you even understand the difference between OTD and Sale price? All the 2017/2018/2019 price thread say specifically to post SALE PRICE, not OTD because OTD varies a lot from state to state.

First one does say 33k after tax, but of course he traded in a vehicle for 20k. Anytime there is a trade involved the sale price doesn't matter. The dealer will lower the truck price and get it back on the trade in. The second one says 40k MSRP not 41k and it simply says the price was 35,600 NOT 35K OTD like you just said. All the others say 33-34 price, which doesn't include TAX, TITLE and LICENSE fees. You claim you paid 33k after all those fees, which would make your sale price 31k and 2-3K lower then anyone else.

Last, you have no idea what I paid for my truck. I will post a picture of mine proving what I paid if you want. You on the other hand are full of shit and change numbers every post.

You are completely talking out of your ass. The deal sheets completely break down what your vehicle cost is, what your trade allowance was etc....

I also traded in a vehicle on mine. All you do is subtract the final price OTD - minus your trade allowance -minus whatever else there is such as down payment, ext warranty’s etc.... It’s not rocket science.

And the thread titles say “What are you paying?” Not what was your “Sale price.”

Sorry man. You lost the argument. you have enough post to know how that thread works...post sale price not otd. Your numbers are garbage and like he said trades throw in a whole different understanding

So everyone that post in those threads with OTD price are wrong, huh? Ok. The IQ of people in here astonishes me.

Whatever you say. You can interpret my numbers however you like. I know what I paid. I know what my trade allowance was. End of story.

No, how would they be wrong for posting the OTD price? The only way to gauge pricing is to post the sale price because OTD varies in each State. Some states you don't pay sales tax, here in CA is like 12% more when you add Sales tax, DMV fees and License fees. So the difference in OTD price between the 2 states would like $3000-4000. It seems your IQ isn't high enough to comprehend that.

I see what you’re saying, BUT at the end of the day, price is price. My next door neighbor is the finance manager where I got my truck. I got employee pricing on that 2017 model. I got the Pro at another dealership that was offering me a HUGE military discount. Both dealers in NC. My normal dealer wouldn’t budge on sticker for the Pro’s. The place I got mine did.

My 2.7 4x4 SR5 AC had an MSRP of like $33,500 in SoCal and I grabbed it for invoice(~28k) before TTL. If I didn't need to leave the dealership with a truck that day I might have been able to get it for lower. If you have a Costco membership ask them if they do their auto program and then haggle the price down from that. The guy didn't want to drop below $31k and then the Costco price was like $29.5k lol.

Absolutely agree rev25. YOU don't get it, Stefan_ray and saying we are low IQ pisses me off.
Look up any car or truck you own on KBB or wherever and ask for a trade in value. You will get a range of several thousand dollars. Dealers will lowball offer you under the lowest value. They also have a "dealer KBB" book or online reference that they will pull out and show you the "value" of your trade, which undercuts the true KBB value on everything. So if they screw you out of $5K on your trade, (which you don't realize) but come down $2K on the price of the truck you're buying, you leave there all warm and fuzzy thinking how you got them to come down to your offer.

There's too many variables in both a sale price (trade in or not, finance rate, dealer incentives) and an OTD price. Some states may pay no tax, some are 7, 10, or 12%. registration fees vary widely too. Here in NJ we have to pay for 4 years of registration, and truck registrations start higher than most cars top out at.

Just this morning I spoke with a former owner of two dealerships. (Not Toyota) He basically said some months he could afford to make nothing on a sale price if he knew he was going to meet his numbers or already made it, and he said he made A LOT from service, whether the customer was paying, or Detroit was paying. He said if the company gave him a figure to sell of say, 110 new vehicles in a month and he met that number, he'd get a check for $50,000. If he consistently met his numbers, the check sometimes could be $75,000. Now we know why some buyers get a deal that's hard to believe at the end of the month.
