Ok cool, so we are at least looking strong for Sunday work. Im sure @EatSleepTacos will chime in eventually, he is in training.

Got the TWSS lights installed. Holy shit I like em.

 

They are going to try to remove the stud first. If that doesn't work they'll need to cut the wheel. Either way they'll be buying me a new wheel.

That can be done while still saving the wheel. Will the other five come loose?

 

@Rome604 if the other "5" come loose and they have a real good set of drill bits, just drill into the center of the lug stud. Start with small size drill bits and progressively work their way up to just smaller diameter than the actual lug stud. Then just tighten it up more until it snaps off.
Then just replace the lug nut and stud.

 

thats what they are trying first. Unfortunately there isn't much room between the lug nut and the wheel since its such a tight fit. Also there isn't much left that they can bite on to of the lug nut. Cutting the wheel is their last resort. Either way the wheel is most likely going to get F'ed.

 

Did we mention that this snapped with hand tools?!

I once stopped to help a family with a flat. They said that they couldn't break the lug nuts loose. I said something like "Let me put some ass into it". And promptly twisted the stud right off. I felt so bad. But at that point it was done. Wrecker was called, and I gave the family $50 to help them out. No good deed shall go unpunished, I guess.

 

I asked Randy like 8 times if I fucked up. Severe remorse. He was like "I would have thrown a breaker bar on it" At least the shop is taking care of it, means it def wasn't my fault

So TECHNICALLY you were hired to do the install, and asked me to help, which makes me an employee, so #randyfab is liable for all damages and I'm off the hook #lawyered

 

I did that last year on Thanksgiving Day. I didn’t bust just one. I busted 2. I gave them a ride to their family’s house 2 miles away and paid for new studs and lug nuts.

 

I'm not sure how it could be your fault. The whole lug nut sheered off. The mechanic I talked to seemed to agree. And the tire shop is ordering a new wheel so they must agree too.

 

I just appreciate you being a reasonable human being. It's just shitty being on this end of it. Like I said, we will get it all taken care of this weekend.

 

I'm not going to lie. It was a pretty depressing ride home last night. But every time I'd hit a bump or pot hole the ass end would just float over it and I'd smile a little. It is really strange to only hear ONE bump instead of two when driving. I can't wait to get the front done.
