I can get the name for you a little later. It’s from ‘96 so it’s not perfectly accurate. You might have luck with an app like Gaia

Was looking at chains online as well: $150ish for a set of road/off road. Too much?

I don't see it being an all day thing? Get in enough to have some fun, cut a tree, and get home?

There was some gnarly stuff around that price. If I was using them all the time, then sure. As backups and getting unstuck, I went with these:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003SK8DMQ

The stock tires did as well as expected last year. Fresh and compact snow were just fine. Trying to climb in heavy slush sucked and a set of chains would have helped where even ATs and MTs were getting no joy.

Even that snowy, icy climb during the November meet was no drama?

Well, that sounds good to me. Count me in.

Thanks fort he suggestion. Yeah, they would only be for emergency use, so I don’t need to spend $$$ on a set of Louis Vuitton chains :D

    You're welcome.

The reviews for those Peerless ones talk about the adjuster sometimes freezing up. I think that is literal without any updates to the reviews to confirm. So, I will toss in some Cable Life lube right away.

Just to make it easy. I'll start a list for Saturday since the thread is now covering three different events :

Definitely playing it ear. I should have added that.

I'll take fresh snow over melt / refroze.

I run these as well, i think they were 70$ at discount tire. Good heavy gauge tire chains, and you can push feet of powder. Cable chains dont work very well off road. I would save your money.

I am down for Sunday 8am in the hills because I have to work Saturday. either Rainer Snoqualmie or Darrington.

There have been groups up the two previous weekends. I'm looking at going with the group in Post 271 (above) this Saturday.

And on that subject, what's the feeling on the Pass weather? We all still in? What sounds good for the meetup? Country Pride at 9a?

    See Post 271 above.

Anyone got a Pass / trail report after this weather?
