I’m really not completely sure but I think this is the first time I’ve seen a camper top on a 3rd. Neat to see that. I like it

Appreciate the support many of our fellow Tacoma enthusiasts hate on 2wd. Tacomaworld is way more supportive than fb groups and such. I like seeing people outside of the 4x2 groups not ragging but saying good things about 4x2

    Thanks for your support.
I do not have a need for 4wd and I love to hear people say, what about resale? Well guess what, first of all, I bought the truck for me, not to make money from the next guy. And secondly, I tend to keep my vehicles a long time, I had my dodge dakota for 13 years before I got the Tacoma, so I really don't care about resale.

My thing is I just don’t mistreat my vehicles by putting them off-road. I’m paying way too much to just throw my truck in a bunch of sticks and rocks and get a million and one scratches and dents. So if I don’t off-road (besides hiking) and I don’t get snow why would I have gotten a 4wd

My 2018 SR 2WD lives on my farm. There is 5 miles of unpaved, elevated roads to get there. I don't think going "off roading" as mistreating it. The truck hauls 1500-1700lb daily on its bed for 300 days a year through rough terrain. I paid $22,400 brand new for it. We will keep it 200K miles and 15 years. Farm makes me $350,000 a year after taxes. I think its worth it. I am using it as a tool.

My PRO 4wd - only use it for Starbucks and Neiman Marcus runs to the mall.

When I go offload, or on ski trips to Mammoth and Big Bear, I use my $85,000 200 series Land Cruiser. It has pin stripes on the side from bushes. I am ok with that. It has dent on the bumper from large rocks. My TRD wheels on it has scratches on the bead locks from off road. Rear exhaust pipe is dented from a large boulder. It is a tool that serves me, when I need to go off road and make sure I make it back home.

Well you know how it is. Opinions are like assholes everyone has one I’m a farmer as well. So I do live down back roads of gravel and dirt. I just mean trails with limbs and brush that rubs.

No need for 4wd in FL, I’ll get another old Wrangler if I want to go off road.

sweet man I dig it. I personally like hiking as offloading lol way more time to enjoy the scenery. your own pace too. I used to think after I got my truck I was just gonna buy a TSC trailer and a used 4x4 4wheeler but learned quickly that you get more time and sense of satisfaction with hiking. Ofcourse like I said What I just said is my opinion and everyone has one.

My 2wd gets me through all the trails I take my family too so I don’t really have a need for 4wd. The rear locker is good enough for me when I need it.770119CC-BB1B-4239-9F56-D38241765B12.jpg BB1BB99C-75E8-490F-A7F8-12071B48797B.jpg 64D7990B-7ECF-4A49-96C4-7A7874E9EB8B.jpg A8C16E13-B48F-48A0-94E6-E434D84391EE.jpg C29974A9-6C59-4B03-8236-97DB59B06EDB.jpg

I love my double cab 2wd sr5! paid 30k otd and it does what i want it to do. sure 4x4 is great and all but i couldn't justify spending arround 6k more for something ill only use a handfull of times. My truck is simple and besides, i wanted the 2.7 over the v6 so i didn't really have an option of 4x4 double cab with the reliable 2.7

I got my 2wd stuck in mud all the way up to the bottom of the door lol. Should have took a pic but never again will I go off in mud unless it’s a small mud hole.

I have owned 5 priors trucks, all 4x2. I noticed that when I try to build a TRD Sport 4x2 on the Toyota site, it will not allow me too using my zip code - presumably because I live in the northeast and nearly everyone drives a 4x4. Like many of you, I don’t have a real need for it and don’t want to spend the extra money. Is this a regional thing by Toyota or do you think I could order one through the dealer?

    Nice pics all!
