Hmmmmm.. you know, I have an OR too - and when it's cold, if I apply the brakes the rpm rises a good 300-500rpm. I've always thought it had something to do with the electric brake booster we have in this model. The difference is, you've got your foot on the brake while moving slowly in D or R. I'm either on the brake with clutch in or adding throttle and feathering. Therefore it's just not a problem for me.
When the truck warms up, this "issue" goes away.
I'm not sure if other trims of 3G have this issue, or if it's the same thing you're talking about.. thought I'd mention it anyway.

So here is what I've been working on to help with giving the truck better engine braking (example)

rewrote the entire VVT table (this table is designed by us, not toyota, exclusively for 1.05) This load range and vvt table does not exist in the stock ECU. The load range of 5%, 10% cannot be accessed in stock toyota tune because it... "doesn't exist"

It's difficult for me to accurately test though so ultimately it will be in the hands of the MT guys when it's ready.

Any chance you could give us a status on your development so far as far as past halfway finished or less than half-way. I promised I wouldn’t shave my face until 1.05 and it’s getting really itchy lol

How are you guys getting the updated files?. I’m still on 1.03 with old dongle. I’ve reached out to OVtune 2 weeks ago and no response.

There is a bit more to the story (originally gave him transmission ecu ID and now he is saying that isn’t the correct ID numbers that he has on file). I have since given OVtune the correct Ecu ID but he isn’t responding to any messages.

Is email the only way? I’d there somewhere online I can get files?

 

The only people that have 1.05 are the M/T guys that are testing and have had the TSB done and also have the dongle kit.

ETA if you have had the TSB done you can email Mat for the 1.04r file. And no there is no online source for files and file sharing is a no go per Mat as he will flag you for any further updates.

13. Transmission Locking off/half/full Tables - Developing (80%)
14. Rev limiter Adjustment with Revised Shifting - Complete
15. 93 Octane revised ignition - Complete
16. 4D 16 way Temperature based tables - Developing (80%)
17. Throttle angle controlled Fuel Operation switches (from stoic to power demand) - Complete
18. Wheel speed fix - Developing
19. Accelerator angle based Shift behavior tuning for all gears - Complete

probably a bunch more little things in there that's also done.
At this point we're fine tuning some lock up stuff and long term testing our EROM Tables.

Can you give me an update to what’s going on with files being sent my way? I’m on 1.03, I can’t tune the truck for 91 or 87 on 1.03. You have all my info that I sent 2 weeks ago.

 

All these items being worked on or complete but no mention of the handheld. Is it a dead item or are you waiting till 105 is complete before working on it more. Did you ever get the protocol update from alientech? Just looking for a status update thats all.
