Monte dropped his prized (b/c he uses it so much) wide angle lens (10-18mm) off the cliff.

This was a look of ":annoyed: :censored: "

...it's since been replaced, since he could never really be without that lens.

Here's my post where (at the very end) I cover the spare steelies that fit/don't fit (bare - I wasn't using any spacers).

I believe I’m at 2.5” now, 4” BS from the wheels plus 1.5” spacers. Still rubs the frame at lock + stuff, which I was hoping to eliminate. You get the same thing?

I won't lie. I almost jumped after it. Then I realized Id probably die in the process all for a small lens.

Is violent vibration at idle a sign of bad engine mounts or a transmission mount? Or a larger outlaying issue?

It’s rather annoying when I hear the lock rods rattling against each door, I’m not going to lie.

Yeah, I’m at 2.5 total as well (3.5 + 1” spacers) and I see the same thing. It isn’t terrible, but it’s a lot worse without the spacers.

Yeah that's not normal. Grab a bar and start prying at your mounts. You dont really have cold air out there so it cant be related to that.

I use it a lot. Best lens for panoramic stuff. And I still like the wide look.

question for you guys...I was wheeling this weekend up in the mountains, after we got to a good lookout spot to stop and take some pics, I hopped in my truck - put her in 4lo and reversed about 10 feet - didn't realize until I shifted into 1st gear that I had my e-brake on still (doh)

I went to pull the e-brake to see how badly I screwed it up, and it was incredibly tight...I only got maybe 3 clicks out of it before it was completely taught. Normally I need about 15 clicks to get it to be tight.

Jumped out and looked at the cable behind the rear axle, and it was completely askew...looked like I had bent the bracket that holds the e-brake on the passenger side of the axle up so that it was no longer parallel to the axle...it was at a crazy slant. Which I guess explains why it was so much tighter.

Got out my small 3lb sledge hammer and bent the bracket back into place so the brake cable is parallel again...e-brake feels like it's back to normal but I can't help but feel like it might be dragging a bit. I feel like when I'm on a hill it doesnt want to roll quite as easily as it used to. Might just be my paranoia but is there a way I can check to see if the e-brake is still partially engaged to the drum/dragging? And how would I fix that?

Couple pics from this weekend for attention, many thanks to SocalTacoTruck for the photos

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
I've bent some of those ebrake brackets wheeling before.

Should be pretty obvious if it's dragging, drums will get really hot really quick.

If it did pull it that tight, you probably clicked the adjuster wheeling over several clicks, which would cause it to drag. You'll either need to pull the drum (hard to do if it's dragging) or loosen the star wheel through the little access hole. That's pretty difficult to do as well, as it requires you press on the little ratchet arm before spinning the wheel.

Sounds good, thanks...I'll look more closely at it and try to determine if it's indeed dragging or not.

Initially, when I noticed it was that tight after backing up, I was excited because my e-brake always feels so loose and doesn't want to hold the truck that great. It held it like a champ with the bent up bracket haha. I'm guessing that's not the best way to tighten the e-brake though.

I usually tighten it every now and then using the two little 10 or 12mm nuts on the bracket behind the driver's seat, but I think I've got those adjusted as far as they can go.

    I have mods
Working on improving the available storage in the cab behind the seats. I won't ever have a passenger back there other than the dog so this should hopefully work better for me. Still in progress, I might use aluminum panels once I have everything worked out to how I like it. The back wall is 1/4 plywood and the floor is 5/16 ply. Still working on the floor part, need to add some feet for support and then hinges so I can still access the factory storage compartments.
