They had this whole kickstarter type campaign thing i heard about awhile ago, talking about dollar beers for a year if you help out. They pulled a lot of money together to open it up with the idea that it would be good quality, simple beers, nothing crazy.

As my buddy said about them "Spectacularly Mediocre"

I’ll check them out at some point. Maybe give them another month or two to get things running more smoothly. If it’s terrible then I shoot over to Green Cheek. Win win

They have a weird kind of tap list. It's like literally 8 variants of a milk stout and then an IPA, grapefruit IPA, Blonde, fruited blonde, and a golden stout I think.

The tree is up, but there is a lighting problem, so only about 2/3s of it is lit up. I figured that I should fix that before it appears in beer shots.

Eh still worth checking out at least once. It’s close by so it’s not like I’m driving hours to see what it’s all about haha.

Supposedly their goal is to be operating with 30 different beers within a few months.

I was very close to pulling the trigger on one, it's a great piece for the money I think. Does most all of what the other similar $600-1000 ones do. For me a couple things killed it: Limited capacity (bigger ABV beers), proprietary parts/setup, overseas (Australian) home company so all warranty issues go through the vendor you got it from, slightly spotty seeming reliability, 120v (not 240v). If something goes wrong, it seems hard to bypass and upgrade it, but if it stays working, and you don't mind the low abv limits and slower times heating, it would be a great compact all-in-one system.

this is a decent video about some issues with the system:

I guess you get what you pay for. Although morebeer, in my experience, has been awesome supporting the third party stuff they sale.

I'm not really worried about ABV, there are ways around that. 110v would be convenient but I get where that would be limiting on the boil.

I'll just stick with my current BIAB gas system and dream of the convenience of electricity. Thanks for the input.

That system would be nice because then I could brew in my garage and leech the electricity from the HOA instead of using my own

Decided to see what all the hype was about. It’s not bad, but it’s just a little too much of something. I can’t quite put my finger on it.

I really wanted to get it for the cost, relative polish/features and full all-in-one aspect. I think it would be a great first system or for apartment brewers, or anyone who wants to simplify/automate the process a bit on the cheap. I just knew i'd outgrow it, so might as well go big off the bat.

I think it's a perfect first system really, to try things out without going crazy with lots of equipment. It has a few limitations, but overall seems like a great bargain for what you can do. Watch a few youtube videos on it and see how easy/tough/feature-filled/etc the people say it is.

I'm tempted... I could have it delivered by this thursday too... I'm just worried about some of the issues it has based off that video you linked earlier today

You'll likely have issues on any system, just gotta get used to them and know how to fix it if there is a problem. I've heard of similar issues like this for brew systems with "malt tubes" or whatever, that they cant filter the water through as fast as the pump can pull it, and end up kind of overflowing. Shoot, mine does that with a bag and it can drain out all sides. Just need to throttle the pump output and keep an eye on things. I only recommended the others because you wanted the "buy once, cry once" type stuff :)
