    Hi all,
I have a 3" Toytec Boss Coilovers up front and OME set up in the back. Long story, sent me wrong system.
Anyways, I have the 1" body spacer as well and it still doesn't seem like im getting the full lift out of it. I really am looking to get closer to 6" lift and 34's or 35's and just not sure if I should be ditching the set up and start over, or would it make sense to do a 3" body lift.
Before I get beaten to death for the body lift comment; I am not a huge off-roader, and yes it is mostly for looks. Not looking for a lecture, just some honest advice.

A 6" lift from BDS ir the like would be much better than 3" suspension and 3" body. There will be a lot of work in fixing the gaps of the bumpers and stuff with a 3" body. That being said you can fit 35s under a 3" lift just have some trimming and CMC to do. You won't have nearly as much trimming to do since you won't be flexing the suspension that much to need a lot.

I would stay away from body lifts. I had a 3 inch body lift on a ranger longtime ago and it just never looked right.

    Just my 2 cents.

If I were you, I would keep the 3" lift that's on it, no body lift and then get 35's, cut trim and regear. If you have the coin for a 6" lift, might as well go the route that give you more ground clearance if you want to start getting off pavement and look badass on the street while staying within the same budget as a 6" lift.

Don't stack lifts. Don't go DB or BL. Don't hack your crossmember. It is easier to go to a 6" lift but it is more difficult to go from 6" to 3"...

Hope that doesn't sound like a lecture. Just giving advice.

Never do body lifts. They are dangerous in an accident. If your body comes free from the frame... not good.

If you are going to do the lift do a suspension lift and do it right. Its going to be grossly expensive but your vehicle carries your life and I don’t think you get cheap on that.

Plus IMO body lifts look horrible and scream you’re too broke to lift your truck. I’d rather have a stock truck than a body lift that makes me look broke LOL but thats just one mans opinion.

6" Fabtech on 305s. No trimming necessary. If you go 6" make sure you get a kit with full coil overs and not a spacer on the front. I also ditched the big ass rear block for a set of 4" HD leaves and a 1" block.

I vote 3" lift and maybe the 1" body lift too. You Know you can fit 37s on a Tacoma with no lift, right?

    Edit: I'm serious

Body lifts are hands down the worst thing in the world. Ugly, ugly, ugly. But if you don't want to cut your truck up best bet is the 6" and alot of people like that look. I think the diff drop is the second ugliest thing you can do to a truck so that's just my 2 cents

3” Fabtech lift on 305/70r16. It really comes down to what mods you are willing to do, and what size tires you want. 6” Crossmember kits fit 35’s with ease but you cut the frame to get it on. 35’s fit with 3” lifts with cutting of the flares/bedsides/fenders and cab mount chop. Any questions about Fabtech lifts let me know, I work in the sales department
