    So just finished breaking in my new gears and going to regear- The shop put in 75w-140 but I was thinking about going back to thinner stuff. However the G2 site and ECGS sites recommend the heavier stuff and non-synthetic. What y'all running?

    My understanding is in our use, synthetic does not provide any real advantages.

    I change mine every 15K - 20K miles anyway - really no benefit for synthetic at that short of a change cycle. Much more beneficial to remove the dirt/water/contaminates.

    Yeah I ended up going with the 85w140 Lucas.. what about for your transfer case? Do you still use the Mobil 1 75w90?

    I should have stated that I use Lucas brand gear oil.

    In the t-case, I just switched to Lucas synthetic. I debated between dino and synthetic - not sure it makes much difference here, either.

    I do think Lucas gear oil is better than many/most of the dino oils on the market.

    But you do use the 75w90 in the TCase?
