    I got mine in, planning on doing a rattle can quicksand job on it. I have some primer too so hopefully it will come out ok. Do you have any recommendations for painting your product @mesojdm ?

    I would prep it the same way as anything steel;
    Clean very well with acetone/degreaser/etc
    Hit it with some etching primer. Then paint the color of your choice :)

    Will not accept a standard weave of molle. A little disappointed, but it’s not a deal breaker.

    Thanks for all the input guys. As you can see from the pictures the cutout holes aren’t the standard “molle pattern” I.e small sqaure cutouts close together. I did not mimic that style because it weakened the panel for vertical load. For the molle panels that are mounted vertical(behind seat, bed, etc) that works because the loading weight is transferd differently. That said, you can still weave “molle” gear/pouches/etc through this rack but they may/may not line up perfect depending on the size of bag and how many straps. I suggest mocking the load out on the ground outside the truck as it’s easier to get the straps woven though.

    A workaround is to weave in molle velcro rip-away panels to the rack and another panel to your gear. It makes removal for use and/or rear passengers a breeze too.

    It works great! Makes it easy to access gear even while in the drivers seat. I might even sew a Velcro lined sleeve to fit over the rack.

    Edit: Velcro cable ties around the center slots could also serve as your base layer.

    Stuff..and things. Mostly stuff
    That's how my three pouches are on the panel, they also have a strap with buckle so it doesn't inadvertently come off.

    So what’s the update on the sunroof version?
    Do you anticipate making that version at all?

    Yes. I got some measurements and have been altering the design to accommodate. Next step is a prototype then production.

    I'm not sure if this has been brought up through the previous 60 pages, but... How sturdy is this? I saw a guy on the last page with an axe and shovel mounted. Am I the only one that sees this as a bad idea? I would hate for a series of dangerous projectiles to fly through the cabin in a bad accident. In a t-bone case, would this rack be in place still, I'm doubting it.

    Not to knock meso, he makes some awesome stuff. I would like to just throw a word of caution out. Don't hang anything heavy like an axe or other heavy objects in your cab, I can't see that playing out well in an accident.

    agree and axe and a shovel just seems like a horrible idea. Granted you can look through pages of this forum and see lots of people where it is obvious the trucks are pavement princesses and all done up to go offroad, fancy shovels that have never been used, etc.
