Oh shit sorry didn’t see your question. They’re international so you shouldn’t have an issue.

I ended up using the alligator crimps included in the kit for just the ground wire. The blue and red wires that go into the unit should be in series with your power wire so I just cut my power wire and used regular butt connectors.

I'm concerned about the legality of this. I think it's a great safety feature. I asked a retired local judge what the status was regarding legality and he didn't know and pointed me to the State Troopers (NYS). I dropped in at the local barracks and asked them. They were very cordial and agreed that it was a good idea but didn't know about them being legal. They pointed me to DMV in Albany, and DMV didn't know. They pointed me to their Technical Assessment Dept. and they wanted to say that they weren't legal but I felt it was more of an easier response than one based on merit. They pointed me to their legal dept who asked for more info and I emailed them the Kahtec website and they said a lawyer would look into it and call me back.
I'm not holding my breath while waiting for that call......
At this juncture, pertaining to NYS, no one knows for sure if the brake modulators are legal or not. Pretty amazing.....
Just shooting from the hip, I really don't think LEO's will bother anyone unless they've got a real bug up their ass.....
I'm wondering if one can install a switch that returns the brake lights to the standard mode....

I live in upstate New York and although I cannot tell you for sure if this device is legal or not, I can tell you that a number of local ambulances and fire trucks use it or something very similar. I have not yet seen it on any law enforcement vehicles though.
