Jesus Christ... Just went in with a pick up group and we finished it in less than 5 mins. Got 3 of the bounties done in one instance. I'm starting to see how the Black Armory works. I don't like how it was implemented but once you finish the first forge the bounties are pretty cool. You get an augmented weapon quest to get new Black Armory weapons. We'll see how it works during the next few weeks since the weapons change each week.

 

Oh... and the machine gun is stupid strong. It will be a beast in crucible.

So now you can use the exotic slot elsewhere. I dont care for pvp but it will be great in gambit!
My first few gambit games ever when it first came out I would use Crimson Main Ingrediant and edge transit.
Then I got telesto so used bygones instead and used crocked fang to try and counter quensbreaker and other fusions.
I dont use linear fusions at all now and find I can kill invaders better with thunderlord now, and thunderlord is pretty good invading.
So the new machine gun, with the loaded question will let me go back to crimson which was very good on ads and the healing is a huge help in gambit!

 

Yeah... The new Machine Gun is stable as fuck. Mine came masterworked with stability so it stays on target the entire time and it mows through enemies like crazy.

I'm on the sniper quest right now. Also did the quest to open the new forge and let me tell you... it's a damn long quest. But it's fun. I need to run the forge once again to get one of the weapons I picked out but I'm kind of concentrating on the sniper quest right now. There are a lot of things to do once you get past the forge for the first time. I just should have been implemented in a much better way.

I understand that Bungie is creating content for end game players and I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm a end game player so I want all the new stuff and I want it to be challenging. But releasing content that no one can do on the first couple of days and having to grind shit that we have already done for the last three months wasn't the way to go about doing it. That said... once you get past that, the new content is a lot of fun but it is confusing to figure out what you need to do.

 

Just finished all the Black Armory Bounties for the week. There is an extremely long quest to get a Sniper Rifle. You have to complete the second forge and I got it completed on the first try. Just opening the second forge is a long quest and really isn't that easy. Once you open it you can go right into it from that point on.

Here's the Sniper from the quest. Not sure if I'll keep it or not? I might infuse it into something else since I generally only use the Whisper if I'm going to use a Sniper. We'll see.

 

Yeah, I’m keeping the sniper. It hits as hard as the Whisper and doesn’t take an exotic slot. It’s a God roll sniper with outlaw and rampage. I wonder if you were somehow able to stack rampage x2 or 3 if it would body shot a guardian in crucible? It would be hard to pull off but I might try it.

 

Got gwysin vest this morning before leaving for work, I'm pretty sure they massively increased drops for forsaken exotics.

 

Finally at the forsaken part of the game with my hunter and almost 500. This is the part I’ve been dreading...replaying the forsaken piece.

 

If you have high power weapons on another character transfer them to your hunter and you will get higher drops. I'm dreading taking my Titan through the story line. I've got my Hunter up to 625 right now and I'll probably level him up a couple more levels tonight. I'll eventually work on my WL later. But I've been playing PvP all day working to get the Shotgun that Shaxx is selling once you hit Legend. I'm still working on the Luna's Howl but I'm just kind of taking my time with it. I'm not busting my ass to get it like I did with the Broadsword. I know it's a great gun and I get killed by it every so often. But he Broadsword is so good on certain maps that I just don't think there is much that can beat it. On smaller maps I've started using the Curated roll Chattering Bone and that thing is a beast at medium to close range.

 

I did. Finally got to a high enough level that I could use them. I think I’m 510 now.

Did a public event earlier trying to unlock my third subclass. A high value guy showed up and I kept dying. Couldn’t figure out why. Then looked...it requires 650 light.

 

Yeah... there are places and enemies that you can't really go yet in the Dreaming City. I did that when I first went in and was just exploring and ended up in an area where the enemies were 550 and they fucked me up lol. I think it was a big ass taken under a bridge and he didn't attack me so I shot him and he one shotted me. I learned my lesson after that.

 

This was on Mars or EDZ. One of the two.

I leaned my lesson the first time around in dreaming city. Trying over and over again on public events getting no where.

This time around it’s a little easier sinxe I’m starting at level 500+. The rider baron was still annoying though.

 

Been grinding for the Wishbringer Shotun from Shaxx because it looks like a god roll Shotgun. Got a few to drop last night and got a really good roll on it and it is good no doubt but it’s no Mindbenders Ambition or Dust Rock Blues. The one he is selling after resetting your rank “may” be better but the range and impact just isn’t the same it seems. I did good with the one I got last night but other Shotguns can out range it. I guess we’ll see?

 

I got a Wishbringer over the weekend, haven't checked the roll on it. And I've dismantled some Dust Rock Blues, maybe I have one in the vault . . .

 

ALWAYS check the rolls. Never just dismantle a weapon or armor piece

 

Some of us don't have a million banked enhancement cores . . . I have a Wishbringer on my warlock and a Dust Rock Blues in the vault, but I can't tell what the rolls are from the web or Ishtar Commander. Is there another app that shows item details? I will check tonight when I log on.

 

Ahhhhh. Duh.

Dust Rock Blues has Smallbore or Barrel Shroud, Tactical Mag or Steady Rounds, plus Moving Target and Grave Robber. Has Level 1 Handling masterwork.

Wishbringer has Rifled Barrel or Smallbore, Accurized Rounds or Light Mag, plus Grave Robber and Snapshot Sights. Has Level 1 Range masterwork.

Wishbringer doesn't seem bad with those range enhancements. May have to play with that one.

 

I don't have a million bank cores. I only have about 50 and only level the stuff that I consider a god roll.

Your Dust Rock Blues is a through away gun. Just dismantle it. If any shotgun doesn't drop with a range masterwork it will have a hard time competing with those that do. If your Wishbringer happens to have Full Choke on it and a masterwork range then that is a pretty damn good roll. Snapshot sights is always welcome. Grave Robber is a through away perk but since it dropped with range that makes it good. Check and see if it dropped with full choke also.

Got all the forges done, all the bounties, emblems, data mines, and weapons. Even got a couple pieces of armor. Second forge is easier by far.

 

I ranked up and got the wishbringer from Shaxx last night, then signed off. I will give it a try tonight or tomorrow.
