    Yeah.
Well, I have 12 cores. I just need to keep doing the activities that drop them and quit wasting them on small upgrades.

No Full Choke, just Rifled Barrel or Smallbore, plus Accurized Rounds or Light Mag. All of those help range to some extent. Setting it to Smallbore+Accurized Rounds puts the range at 53 without affecting handling too much. I think I'll keep it.

Small bore, Accurized Rounds, and masterwork it for range and you have a nice shot gun. Don't forget to go to Spider every so often during the day and buy cores. I buy at least 2-4 depended on if his stock rotates throughout the day.

That said... you will get out shot buy the EP shotgun, Dust Rock Blues, and Mindbenders Ambition if they have the right rolls. Those are the Shotguns you are looking for. There are a few others out there but those are pretty much the best ones.

I've gotten 4 hammerheads now and none have good rolls. Still like the gun, the best I've had has high impact reserves and threat detector with either ricochet rounds or I dont recall the other choice but it's not high calibre. Still a great gun.
Got the auto and sniper but just infused them. Crappy rolls as well.
The forge on nessus is a fair bit harder because there's really nowhere to hide like the caves on edz.
Really fun though. My titan is the highest light right now at 620. So this week I will start with him and finish with the warlock.

I have tons of cores for infusion but I'm running low on some of the planetary resources so I guess I'm visiting spider daily again.

On that gun it really doesn't matter the rolls. I got Mulligan which is nice in case you miss a shot it feeds ammo back into the reserves. But high impact reserves is a good perk since you will most likely be using it on the bosses in the raids and the forges. So the lower your ammo gets the harder it hits. Threat detector is a throw away perk but it really doesn't matter. Ricochet Rounds is actually a good perk since there is no damage falloff and it increases range which is always a good thing.

I hate that you infused the sniper because I "think" you need it for the first symbols in the first forge to open the first cache. Then you need the Machine Gun to shoot the second symbols to open up the second cache. I'm assuming you will need another weapon (yet to be announced) to open up the third?

IMO the second forge is so much easier than the first. Just like the first forge I stay in the air the entire time and just go after the blue guys. The enemies in the second forge aren't nearly as hard IMO other than they are the electrified shanks which are easy to kill. The Servertior is a bit annoying since he teleports and throws you up in the air. But as long as you're doing damage to him his shield won't come back. Let's put it this way... I've yet to fail it.

I got a fuck ton of mats from running the forges and just farming normal shit.

    Yeah.
Earlier in the day people were getting a bunch of errors and getting dropped out of games. Worked fine last night, but typical RNG BS getting only the ingredients you don't need to drop, lol.

You know if your trying to get ingredients to cook you can just buy them from her right? Just playing the game gives you plenty to get the things you need. No RNG needed.

After the release of The Black Armory I think I'm pretty much done with Destiny. I'll still log in and play every once in a while but after the success of Forsaken Bungie has taken yet another turn for the worse. They are releasing mini expansions that really hold no replayable experiences. The Forsaken was the last big expansion we are going to get well into next Fall. So the Dreaming City is the only new place we will be able to play for the next year at least. Everything else will be tied to places and things we've already done before. Who knows if they will release a large expansion next year or not. My guess is they won't. I'm finally done with the ups and downs of Destiny. The Black Armory is a flop. Sure there are some things to be uncovered here and there but in the end we are only getting a handful of weapons and that's really it. There are only so many times I can throw balls at a forge before I get bored with it. It seems as if they can't come up with any new ideas so they are just slowly bringing back the D1 weapons everyone loved in the first place. Why they didn't just let us carry them forward I've no idea?

It's kind of bittersweet since I've spent over four years with this game but I've found myself just logging in because I'm bored. Not because I want to play. I've got almost everything I want in the game and it's just a grind to get what is really nothing in return. Sure... I can play PvP but they took my favorite game mode out which was Trials and who the hell knows when it's coming back? It's pretty simple really. All the entire community wants from Trials is 3v3 Elimination. But I'm sure we won't get that once Trials comes back and it will be some fucked up game mode. We're not getting any new raids at all. We're getting "Raid Experiences" which in other terms means "Raid Lairs" since they didn't want to use that term.

The Black Armory has been poorly received and people are once again leaving. After the earnings call from Activision last month where Forsaken came in 8th over all (which isn't bad), Activision wasn't pleased and wanted more people playing the game. Well... The path Bungie just chose drove people away. And with that said... I seriously doubt that there will be a D3 at this point. I "personally" think that Activision will pull the plug on Destiny after the end of D2. D2 fucked up in the biggest way they possibly could last year with the way they release the game. They made it casual where everyone gets a trophy even if they don't play the end game activity. Each expansion after that was horrible to say the least. CoO was as bad if not worse than PoE was in D1. But at the very least PoE had Trials going for it so that was the only thing keeping the game afloat before TTK came out.

I've been one of the few that have stayed around for the entire length of Destiny. Through all the ups and downs I've been there. But I'm tired. Destiny will never recover from the direction they have started now with the roadmap they have laid out for us. So with that... I think Destiny is done. People will keep leaving in droves and there will be no support for the game as the next year progresses. All the major streamers have left the game and there are just a few that have hung around that just report on any new content that might be coming out soon or any secrets that have been found. Soon... They will have to find a new game to cover I'm afraid as the population of Destiny continues to decline.

I'm looking forward to Feb 22 when Anthem comes out. From the Alpha play it is amazing and well designed. Until then... I doubt I'll be posting much in here since there isn't much to post on anymore other than how to throw balls at a glowing thing in the middle of the room.

It's been fun while it lasted.

    Yeah.
Well, everything must come to an end . . .

You know, they have so many assets that they could leverage. I'd love them to reopen Venus and VoG in D2, heck I would even run Crota. While that is not new content, it shouldn't be too hard for them remaster stuff for D2. Maybe open source the whole thing, see what the community can come up with, lol.

The thing is... as you said, they have so many assets at their disposal they shouldn't have to rehash old raids from D1. If they were going to do that then don't even release a game called Destiny 2. We usually set up a D1 raid night where we run through every raid of D1 in a few hours at least once a month.

The issue, as I personally see it, is there was a perfect foundation for them to work off of at the end of D1 and they chose not too. They released a shell of what D1 once was with D2 and took all the best things of D1 and threw them away. That drove people away (even casual players). After all... who wants to delete items that they have received hundreds of times before because everything had static rolls? There was no replayability in year one D2 but I stuck around anyway.

Then The Forsaken came out and we finally got the game we wanted. For three months we had the best expansion Bungie ever released. But unfortunately that is the last big expansion we are going to get until next fall (if we even get one next fall). If you think The Black Armory is going to tide people over until Feb. I can promise you it won't. According to Forbes (who tracks all these games) people are, once again, leaving Destiny. Only difference is, this time I'm one of them. After the Activision earnings call things didn't look good for Bungie even though 8th was not a bad place to be in considering all the other games that have come out. The thing is, Bungie will never recapture those players that have left the game prior to Forsaken no matter how good that expansion is. They have been burnt too many times. With the road map that they have released they will not win any new fans either and people are once again leaving. Which only leads to one conclusion... Destiny 2 is pretty much on its last legs. If they don't figure out a way to win back their fan base (which they won't) then I can with almost 100% accuracy predict that there will not be a Destiny 3 in the future. All they had to do was one thing and none of this would have happened. Expand on the foundation of D1. That's it.

    Yeah.
Didn't know Forbes had that, good article here: https://www.forbes.com/sites/insert...-more-to-casuals-to-some-extent/#5130bb7b6306

I dunno, lots of good stuff out to play and compete with Destiny right now. There's competition with Overwatch and Fortnite. RDR2 released, a new Assassin's Creed -- I have a ton of stuff to play other than Destiny, although I am on a Destiny kick right now trying to get through the new content. But, it will only be a matter of time until I get there, and I only play maybe 20 - 30 hours per week. Once people get tired of those games (they don't have a lot of replayability once you get to 100%), we might see some folks come back -- for a little while anyway. But then Anthem will be out, and I feel sorry for those guys if they release something that is not incredible.

In the meantime, what kind of content would you want to see? Regular new raids? Twists on current raids? Options to run content at a higher difficulty? New story missions? New impossibly long and grinding quests for special gear?

What would I like to see? I'd like to continue with the expansion of the Forsaken. Keep adding on to it and adding new content to that activity. There were so many secrets involved in the Dreaming City but now it seems as it is an afterthought. They have moved on to The Black Armory and honestly it is underwhelming. The forges suck and are easy to complete. Sure you get a new weapon if you go through the bounties and that is fine. I got the Hand Cannon yesterday and it is meh at best. If you're going to release new weapons make them special. After you go through this long grind to get into the forge to get that weapon and it turns out to be underwhelming then what's the use???

Honestly it doesn't matter what I'd like to see because Bungie has created the road map of the upcoming events. In Jan. we get the Last Word back. They are bringing back weapons that were supposed to be destroyed because they can't come up with any ideas for new weapons. So we are just getting recycled weapons from D1. That shows a lack of ideas flowing from the studio. What I don't want are these small updates that are coming every three months that will only last a player like me maybe a couple of weeks to complete. Then I'm left with nothing to do for the remainder of the time in the game. There was so much more they could have done with the Dreaming City but they are done creating content for that so we are left with this amazing place that will do nothing for us.

I'll give an example of how it should be done. During D1 if you wanted the Touch of Malice you had to go back into the Dreadnaught and find all the shards. It also gave you a reason to go into the raid to collect the remaining shards for that weapon. It added a lot of replayability to the area and gave you something to do. With the Dreaming City... If you have everything you have everything. There is nothing left to do there now. So we are forced to play The Black Armory and it's boring as fuck.

    Yeah.
I don't disagree. Seems like some easy things they could do, and we can always hope that this is a calm before the storm and the next 2 seasons have some really rockin' content. At least we have cookies now.

D2 year 1: Everyone's a winner and everyone gets a trophy. Completely ruined the player base and I don't think it will ever recover.
