I have bought 20+ trucks from MB for work. I have mixed feelings, not a huge fan honestly other than the service dept is good (to me). The good ol boys club in there.

Love it!!! Yeah we’ve been buying stuff from MB since they’ve been open, and it always weird. The whole purchasing experience was awesome. Let take everything off the taco, financing tried to rape me, then let me take both trucks home. They have us a hell of a deal on my truck and my dads 18’ king ranch 250

But, when they found out the stockers I had swapped my scss off didn’t have sensors, they called me 2 months ago to yell at me. Lol.

Yeah it's the ECU doing it but the gearing doesn't help. Even stock the truck couldn't hold 6th unless going down hill but it did use 5th a fair amount.

Yea, it is in part the trans, the gearing in 5/6 is pretty janky. Dunno what Toyota was thinking putting a 3.5 in with an incorrectly programmed ecu and jankily geared trans. If I have this truck for a long time I’ll either throw gears in and/or tune.

I had the heater fan replaced that was a recall and I asked him about the TSB for the trans and was told it's still just a band-aid and on some trucks it made the issue worse. I told him forget about it till the next one comes out that may be a better fix. I pretty much have the SS Pro V2 do all the shifting anyways.

I had the a/c blower motor replaced. Anything other than a new trans/ecu is a band aid for Toyota being cheap.

What all does the $1,900 include? Front & rear gears plus install? I'm trying to get an idea on their install price. From what I've read, they seem to be really high on install.
    Who sells Nitro the cheapest?
    Thanks!

Hell I've slept since then so idk... I do remember though that it cost me $100 to ship my busted third for a warranty rebuild.

At 75-80ish my rpms chill around 2.5-2.7K. I use cruise control if there are no steep inclines

Damn that’s high. What gears/tires are you running? What’s your mpg?

I used east coast gear supply. Shipping was like 90 bucks, they pay for return shipping. Good people and they did a good job. The gears also come with a 5 year warranty.

It’s been awhile since I’ve checked, but ECGS sells preassembled front and rear 3rds with 4.88’s installed around 1700$ after you get your core deposit back. For a shop it just depends on their labor charges honestly. I’d rather pay more to a well known shop that knows what their doing than a shotty one and you end up on the side of the rode because your diffs grenaded from an improper install. I see most reputable shops average between 2200$-2700$ for gears and install.

4.88s 35" MTRs. My truck is a fat pig. I get about 12ish smiles per gallon on average, but I'm also supercharged.
