Lloyd, what about having a sheet metal place press you out something like a rope hem panel to weld in? Looks wise.

Not trying to talk you out if it. Just providing options

Max- I hope you were of sound mind and weren’t coming off your 3rd shift dumbassness when you asked your girlfriend to marry you. Lol.

    When’s the big day BTW?

@Casper66 - you’re the undercover/secret sheet metal expert. Can this be done on 1/8” sheet metal. And most importantly, is it NOT expensive?[/USER]

And maybe leave a gap and let a cross bar square stock hang above for top bar loading / strapping ?

And no, I had about 7 years to figure out when to ask her haha.

Btw what you doing Friday ? Want to go to the abandoned trains in Maine? Camping out.,

I think I was told by my wife that we have to go to Buffalo this weekend.

BTW, that’s what happens when you’re married. You are given options.
    1. “Do this”
    2. “Do this now”
    3. “Do this, or else”

Well you'll be with us in spirit .

This trip is starting to sound like the beginning of a bad joke. " A New Yorker, Bostonian , New Hampshire fella and another from Maine went for a drive into North woods Maine".

4 trucks this trip. Probably for the best. If Jason wants a trailer and I'm sure you'd talk him into one before the end of the weekend haha

But yes. Trailer. That thing is going to be awesome Lloyd. And long term plans on how you'll use it / outfit it?

Who’s all going up Maine ? Jason and Richy?

    The trailer:

Not gonna be a camping/wheeling trailer. My geared up truck and my 2 man, 4-season ground tent works perfectly for all the trips that I do.

90% of the time it’ll haul mulch, gravel, topsoil, lumber, etc for all the DIY stuff the the wife and I do at home. I lost the use of the Taco truck bed as a bulk material hauler the moment I mounted the bed cap and made it a semi-permanent wheeling/camping rig.

The other 10% of the time it’ll carry my fishing machine that I got last week.

Gonna start my new tournament bass fishing career in the spring of 2019. I should take home enough prize money to buy a paddle. Lol.

Been a custom sheet metal worker for 13 years. Anything is possible if your wallet is big enough. Rolled edges like that will cost you thousand$. Only way to radius 1/8” that tight is to bump roll it. I have done many wired edges but its .020 material that you can use a rotary machine and hammer on. 1/8 is not feasable.

Nice rig. I was up at their factory not long ago. Cool group of folks. Looking forward to some new products coming out of the Jackson brand in the future.

Been really kicking around the idea of building a plasma CNC table. I need to get past what would be the most useful size.
