You can, gets some members and car pool. You don’t have to bring your truck. It’s Sunday, not much you can do for job hunting.

Not sure honestly, had some family turmoil recently concerning my brother's dad. Everyone's ok, health wise and otherwise, but they may have some other plans. I'll try to kidnap him so he can make it.

I don't want to get in to MOD territory, but why there is no good loop in Austin has far more to do with the same racial history that placed I-35. Did you know that Austin is the 10'th most "gentrified" city in the nation? Guess where that property is getting bought.
Hippies, if you want, opposed the South expansion of Mopac, and environmentalists still argue the various parts of 45 in the hill country limits of Austin. But what is crap now, will eventually be improved by the expansions of 71/183 South, just like the 290/183 and 45 Tool North. You can find a lot of history by Googling "Why no Austin Highway to the East.", or "Austin Loops", or similar. Airport was actually part of a loop on that sleepy East side years ago, and you will still find signs showing Loop 111, even though it's no longer part of it. Think about Austin growth the past 20 or so years (I arrived in 1981). The majority is West of 35, first South (the invention of Bubba land), then North (the yuppie empire), that swallowed Round Rock, then Georgetown. Then South again, now making Buda and Kyle mere suburbs. Only Kyle has really expanded East of 35. Anyway, not so simple as blaming it on the hippies. I am an old one, and I love my roads.
Sorry, that was a bit long, but it's just not that simple. So, not to discuss further. Please read more if you care to. It is interesting history, as well as current events.

No, not at all! But you do hear that "all the time", and it's about the furthest thing from the truth! Hippies are broke, moved out, or live in low rent areas. Unless they are the TECH Hippies breed! They live anywhere. Just far more involved with ECO-Engineering and politics, than any people source.
That said, I have a Tex-Tag and happily pay for the privilege of going around, if I don't have to go in!:rofl:

Houston has good loops, but there are hours I would not go there. I interviewed at a TI facility somewhere, and going back to Austin motel, traffic was so bad, I just gave up and stopped at a Ninfa's! No seats, so a large group of TI people actually invited me to join them, They said you might as well have margaritas with us until 7:00, because you are not going North anytime soon! :proposetoast:

OH SHEESH! I forgot to mention that was 1981!

Sometimes it honestly feels like a match of Mario Kart :anonymous: people drive like it at least. Way too inconstant speeds, swerving because they just learned the controls, slowing way down on a turn because they haven’t figured out the course yet, and throwing litter like they’re bananas or shells
