    I have a nice Leonard box so I am really considering making one to fit between my box and tailgate with cutouts for my tool box handles. Diamond plate would match my box and give me some hidden storage. I am going to get a quote from my supplier for the material cut to my size specs. I think it would look awesome and still be only around $200 for the plate. Not worried about water since my box has gaps anyway. Think I would just need some supports or gussets on the rear corners. I know lift cylinders are fairly cheap. Something to plan and play with while home for the holidays.

    I don't like that either. I tell the service advisor to pass that on to the oil change guy. The 2 oil change guys at my local dealership have been there 10 years plus so they are pretty good at not putting the cling decal in my windshield. Just wish they would pick their feet up when they get in my truck. 1st thing I do when I get home from the service dept. is a quick interior detail.

    Since the TSB...my mpg continues to hit a grand slam :cheers:

    My 2002 stays around 19.0-19.8 mpg.

    I thought I registered for this site 5 years ago when I got my 2nd gen. I did get some good info. I traded it in on a 2018 a couple weeks ago and I'm blown away by the amount of awesome trucks and good information in this thread. I've only made it back to about page 5000 but I got the gasshole. I put a Bakflip on my old truck which I loved, but this truck came with a factory tonneau so this is what's on my shortlist for now:

    1. Derp the chrome
    2. I like the Pro grille but I don't want to masquerade and I fell in love with the Horns on Fire emblem by Diaz.
    3. Those raised letters for the glove box.
    4. Meso side mirror turn signals. I never knew I needed them untik I saw them.
    5. Interior LED kit, because if the pictures do any kind of justice I need that.
    6. I think I need some vinyl for the hood scoop but I haven't seen the one I like for sale, yet.
    7. Some nerf bars to guard against door dings,
    8. XJT fob, just because.

    Don’t listen to the haters. It’s a good truck, especially after the latest TSB. My DCLB hauls ass now - holds gears when I want it to, and shifts when I need it to. Still getting great mileage, and they’re still the best looking mid-sized trucks out there.
