Finally got around to installing today. Played with the set up as I didn’t want to drill my bed, got everything all set up in the cubby. Inlet in the back, outlet towards the front of the truck.

Just an idea for anyone still trying to decide how to set it up

You may have just convinced me this is the way to go. I was wondering how to avoid having the lock collars exposed to the elements. Gonna plug those cubby holes as well to keep water and dust out.

 

How'd you get the cubby back in with a plug in each side?

 

It required a lot of trial and error.

Hoses directly to/from pump are far enough back in the cubby to squeeze through. These are the top and bottom hoses.

Less room behind cubby towards the rear of the truck, so that hose was attached and tightened up.

Hole was drilled for the switch in the top of the cubby, but I couldn’t get the switch through the hole with all three wire connectors on, so I had to wrap the power-in wire around the tab really tight and soldered in really well in place. Then wrapped it all up in electrical tape and pushed the switch in place. (Hopefully it holds up, if not, I’ll have to find a different switch)

Once these were all in place, I put the cubby back in, and put the front hose connector in from under the truck, between the tire and cubby. Lots of room, it wasn’t bad. My Was with my pops so I got the connector in the hole, put an open ended wrench on it, and he tightened it from inside the cubby.

I think getting the cubby back in with everything connected took the longest, but I’m happy with how it turned out. If I ever had to remove it, I would just have to get a new cubby, but I don’t see that ever happening. It’s a great kit and it is well thought out, thanks again!

 

I was the same way. The pump comes with a couple of rubber plugs to cover the inlet and outlets so I used one to plug the hole I drilled for the power wires. It fit perfectly and I siliconed it in place. I need to plug the main cubby slots next. If you have any questions or need any help, ask me
