...^^^... When I was a lot younger this guy made a "bag bomb" from acetylene and oxygen in a big 55 gallon drum liner garbage bag.

I didn't know what it was or what he was doing when he took it to an open field and lit the fuse. Maybe 30+ seconds later, it went off with sooo much power that it caused the windshield washer bag under the hood (Ford) to compress from the shock wave and to squirt fluid on the windshield and the car was a long way off.
It was a BOOM that I will never forget ... it was a DEEP ROARING BOOM.

I like Alaska. Seats 25-35, you’re up. Seats 15-25, you’re up. Everyone else, board now.

    Board back to front.

Hypothetically speaking, someone much much younger and much stupider than I am today, *might* have imagined filling an empty plastic gallon milk jug with oxy-acetylene mix and then imagined using several-foot long line of zippo lighter fluid as a delay "fuse".... He might have also imagined an ear-ringing bang and finding only small bits of plastic jug...

I imagine your suspicion is quite correct.

...^^^... They were like rubber/plastic bags with windshield washer fluid in them ... maybe they were called bladders ...

Propane is pretty tame compared to acetylene. That double carbon bond has a lot of energy.

Oh, I totally get it. There is nothing in a drug store worth losing your life over, and all it takes is some fucktard of an employee to go all vigilante and get themselves or somebody else killed over a few dollars worth of crap. When I was in high school I worked in a drugstore and one day the manager tried to physically stop a shoplifter from leaving the store. He was about 6'3" and pretty muscular, she was about 5'4" and fat. She KICKED his ass, badly. Black eye, hurt shoulder, split lip and to add insult to injury, she got away. No, the faster you can get the bad guy out of the building the better.
