Thank-you. I had a padlock on the chain before but it really gets gunked up down there. Plus, I was not looking forward to crawling around to unlock it, making a bad night worse. (Props to I can't remember who that suggested keeping a large piece of cardboard under the bed mat for that kind of work). Cable was less that $15 at Home Depot, I think, the lock like $12 off Amazon. Soaked it with Breakfree CLP as prevention. Now it should be an easy drop and unlock and can even use the cable to drag it out.

Yeah, I just went through all the pages I was behind on. That bumper is sweet. I hate reading this thread sometimes, I end up seeing something I like better than what I have already done, then question myself, then end up ordering the new thing....

I think I want to replace the Lexus fog lights with @CaliRaisedLed amber pods and mounts now damn it.....

If you swap your fogs now, there's a chance you'll be enticed to swap them again soon. Baja Designs will be releasing their new SAE fogs. Not to mention KC just released their amber G4s, and I believe Rigid will have a new SAE amber fog pod.

Personally I'm waiting to see what the Baja Designs performance numbers will be before I buy a replacement fog. I like the look of their product the best, but I use my fog light as fog lights. Not as pricey Bro ornaments that blind all oncoming traffic when used on-road.

Proper aiming helps. But the reality is that most fog replacement offerings are too bright for on-road use unless they are stated as being SAE/DOT compliant. Baja Designs has updated the description of their ever popular squadron sport/pros to include they are intended for Offroad use only.

 

So I took my truck in for the 5k service at Folsom Lake. I told them about the crappy gas mileage, I was getting and showed them my Fuelly app. They told me it’s because I’m running bigger wheels and tires (275/70/18 K02). Still doesn’t add up, taking a 8 mpg hit for one size bigger tire and 2” larger rim. I average 68-70 mph, I haven’t towed anything, I don’t carry anything in my truck. Upped the pressure to 40 psi all around and didn’t make a difference. I’m completely dumbfounded. Anyone want to swap rims and tires?

 

So tell me how much of a pain in the ass it was to remove the stock UCA bolts. Did you have to bend the seam weld out of the way and move those electrical harnesses? I'm just curious.

 

It's not the inches it's the weight. How much more does that wheel/tire combo weigh over stock?
