Hey folks! I know most people say this, but this is my build thread more for me to track what I've done to my truck rather than show off my mediocre DIY skills. (And general debauchery)

At the time of this initial posting I'm 26 years old and I'm on my 6th vehicle. Doing a little wrenching on each one.
    16 - 05 Dodge Magnum (sold)
    2010-10-09_18-17-54_870.jpg
18ish - 03 Infiniti G35 (just so happens to be one of the best cars I've ever owned, also sold)
    20150722_150749.jpg
    19 - 07 Nissan Titan (sold)
    20140505_192107.jpg
22 - 05 Ford Excursion diesel (yes the 6.0 no it never had problems. Was an absolute beast, sold)
    20160508_093809.jpg
    23 - 01 Jeep Wrangler (Sold)
    20180929_160804.jpg
    25 - 15 Toyota Tacoma (why I'm here now!)

    How I bought the Taco
    20180410_163745.jpg

2015 TRD Off-Road with roughly 36k on the odometer. I will be honest, the silver sky metallic was not my first color choice. But the price was right and it had the (hard for me to find) JBL sound system.

How she sits as of 11/24/2018
    20181024_104702.jpg

    Lists of modifications done:

    Cosmetic:
    Color matched grill shroud
    Window tint
    Weathertech window visors

    Wheels and Tires:
    SCS SR8 16x8 with 265x75 BFG KO2

    Armor:
    B.A.M.F. Rock sliders

    Suspension:
    Icon Stage 4
    - 2.5 Adjustable resevior coilovers
    - 2.0 Rear shocks w/ reseviors
    - Icon tubular UCA
    - 1.5" AAL

I intend to turn this one into a general off-roader / camper. So in the near future definitely a lift and I would like some extra armor.

My girlfriend also owns a 4th gen 4runner that we have been building as well. That I will admit is quite a bit further along than mine.
    20180711_130638.jpg

We both grew up in the San Diego area but are currently living in the much greener Washington state near the Tacoma area.

While I'm a mediocre wrencher of vehicles I am much more versed in the selling and buying of vehicles. I have a degree in business and have been working in the automotive industry for 6 years now. I wont disclose where I work (for obvious reasons) but I am more than happy to share professional advice to those that should need it.

Besides the truck and professional life, I'm into camping, shooting, gaming, and beer/whiskey. So those are all things I'm always down to B.S. about.

For those interested in the traveling adventures that we embark on with our puppers you can follow myself on instagram @brestad and or my girlfriend @preschool.teacher.life

For the doggo lovers here are our travelling companions Chevy and Chloe

Looking good! I think Silver Sky is one of my favorite colors. How did you color match the grille surround?

Ebay. A dealer back east had a surplus so I was able to pick it up for 80ish bucks. I was then able to sell the chrome OEM one for 40. Definitely money well spent aesthetics wise!

I agree with you. It’s a big improvement! I need to do something with the chrome on mine, too.

Hit 40k as I rolled in home. Pretty big deal for me, never owned a vehicle under 100k miles before

I'm a patch fan so very important that the first patch embraces the amateur I am. Thanks @boogie3478 for the quick delivery, it's even better looking in person!

Sub'd! Love everything about this so far. You've got good taste in some of your past cars (seeing your excursion brings back memories :D ).

I miss that rig every day. I just couldn't justify such a large vehicle after selling my toy hauler. Though selling it did allow me to buy my taco....

She's dirty but I'm stoked on how the lift turned out! (I'll get some more photos once shes had a spa day. [Which also means it needs to warm up in the PNW])

Had a snow day in the PNW. Melted off before I realized I should take a pic. But at least I had "an excuse" to go 4 high on main roads for a little!

Just came back after a month and a half long assignment in Reno. Back home, caught the Supercross race in Seattle then up to Mount Reiner for the first time of the year for me

Not build related, but traded in my first "do it yourself" vehicle. Not gonna lie, it was sad to see her go but can't beat a straight trade across for my new daily. Just accepted a position that took my commute from 8 miles round trip to 90 miles round trip hahah. While the taco can handle the milage I'd rather not kill myself in gas and maintenance.

Been out of the tacomaworld loop for a while. Decided to make a strong financial decision and purchase my first home. Shes a little old (the bathroom locks threw me for a whirl) but I enjoy having something I can put some money into.

I then followed up a wise purchase with a not so wise purchase. But the price was right (working for a dealer has its benefits). She's AWD and has a little more HP than the taco and 4runner, but she won't be seeing any trails haha.

Figured I'd get my mid life crisis out of the way early on. Once we are into spring, I'll flip her for more taco parts.
