Highest Concentration of Tacoma's Per Capita?

What the hell kind of color combo is that?

 

I'm going to throw ANY of the many US military installations into the mix. There are so many 3rd Gens in my BN's parking lot that I've walked to the wrong one before. Add 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, Toyota Truck, Tundra, and T4Rs into the mix, and it has to be half the non-cars on post/base. But that's a super specific group of people, not an entire state or even city.

 

Tacoma is a Big Island truck, period. Would guess one of the Hawaiian Islands as the highest Tacoma per capita.

 

I should move to Hawaii with my Tacoma. It'll increase the Tacoma population and it's most likely more like Australia than Oregon.

Did an experiment on my lunch drive on Oahu today. Tried to count cars passing me and see if at least 1 out of every 20 is a tacoma. It was closer to 1 out of every 8 vehicles....

 

And that was town

 

Just got back from trip to Hawaii kai thru Waimanalo and saw another 30 Tacoma's, even found HPD driving one .the Majority of them were in the Waimanalo Beach parking lot !!!

 

Not sure but I didn't have the heart to tell the owner that he either had full blown color blindness or he really likes the color of bologna. Either way he told me he bought it in Hawaii which was apparent by the amount of painted over rust. It was rough.

 

Talking with my Brother who works with the many car dealerships here on Oahu told me Toyota has 50% of the market here !!

 

Ditto for Chicago I see maybe 1 or 2 when I'm out driving and most of those are Napa trucks so those don't count.

 

In Hawaii, is it still just Servco as the only dealership? If so, no competition and high demand can't be a very consumer favorable situation.

 

Yep, still only Servco and I think they fall under Toyota japan

 

Definitely not where I live. I've seen one other tacoma (2nd gen) and one 4 runner in the last 2 months.

 

Those pics are nuts!!! That's crazy. I dig that old cruiser, I'd rock the hell out of it bologna paint and all!

 

Toyota of the Pacific. And it’s just basically them lol but the get the vehicles direct from them since the are the main distributor of Toyota’s

They have a deal with Toyota of Japan that Servco gets exclusive rights to Hawaii. No other Toyota dealer could open here if they wanted to.

 

There's a bunch of them here in my small town in southern Kentucky...
