Going in next week to get a new truck. Is there anything I should try to get from the dealer during negotiations ( better AT tires/ rims, etc.)?

I do like the looks of the Pro rims. What's the biggest tires I can run on the stock TRD OR without issues? Do I even want bigger tires?

Noob to all this off road stuff.

    Thanks

Depends on the dealer and what you want. Are you getting the premium or tech packages with the truck?

OEM trifold tonneau cover if it’s an option.

265/75/16 or 265/70/17 are the biggest tires you can run without rubbing on the stock suspension. You’ll have to remove the front mud flaps, too.

Not even sure what those are? The one I'm looking at does have the Entune Premium Radio.

I'm probably going to get a shell, so I'm not sure it's worth negotiating the cover.

Fair enough. Mine came with it and I hadn’t even looked into it, so I was pretty stoked. As far as getting a shell, makes sense. I’m keeping mine even when I get a small bed rack because it’s worth having the flexibility. Doubt you’d be taking off a shell very often tho.

Wow, that looks awesome. Probably out of my price range though.

I've got a shell now and really like the ability to haul stuff without having to strap it down. And with limited height clearance, you really can't help people move large items. It's a real bad back saver.

Sounds like similar reasoning to why I bought a manual transmission.

Wanna borrow my truck? Oh you can’t reibe a stick. Sorrrrrrry.

We are taking delivery of our 2019 cement OR AC in a couple weeks with technology/premium packages and OEM tonneau cover (you can these 3 as a package). Factory added door sill protectors and all weather mats without our asking, which I would have wanted anyway. We added cargo mat, mud flaps and door edge protectors. I was going to add bed light until I found out it was $200 and another $200 to install. Much cheaper (and likely better) do-it-yourself options out there (thanks TW!!). We also went for the black tailgate insert which we thought looked great with the cement color. But it was $99 and I saw on another thread you could buy something similar/identical on Amazon for $16.

And they would have to first make a supercharger for the 3rd gens. So I’m gonna guess you couldn’t afford the R&D for Toyota to make one for you.
