    going to be fun!
Probable cause is if the State requires 2 plates and one is displayed in the correct location (not the windshield) and the other is not BOOM you get pulled over... Just think you had two beers now you have a DUI!

Bro this is some serious shit, you better have both plates on. They will pass 1 murderer, 3 drug dealers an 2 hookers to pull you over for that . Priorities man, get your life right.

Uuuuh yeah they will. If you give a cop any reason to pull you over they will do it, that's kind of their job. Do you know how many arrests are made from pulling people over for seemingly petty offenses, no front plate, no seat belt, no license plate light, didn't use your blinker etc? I don't either but I know its a lot.

Run both my trucks without plates in Atx without issue. Been pulled over between sweet water and Lubbock north bound 84 for no front plate...

Think he was just fishing. Told him I destroyed it wheeling, which I did. He asked if I had any drugs, said no. Checked my tint, it was legal. Walked around the truck with a flashlight, not sure what he wasn’t looking for but didn’t find it. Let me go with a warning

LEGAL window tent much less

I was fully cooperating and polite. His gauge read 32% and the legal limit is 35%. He looked down at the gauge, looked at me, looked back down, then when he looked back up I have him a look like “I’ve been super polite don’t fkn try and give me a ticket for being 3% under” then he put it away and moved on to inspecting the truck

Lol sounds about right. I try to be super polite and cooperative with cops but they can be... uhm... hypocritical?

The Texas Tech PD had a case brought against them for entrapment when I was there, tailgating the shit out of people going the speed limit then pulling them over and ticketing them when they increased their speed. Oh well. Everyone's just tryna do their job I guess

Texas Department of Motor Vehicles added rules about license plate placement in June 2015. In the Transportation title of the Texas Administrative Code in Section 217.27 that states a vehicle “must display two license plates, one at the exterior front, unless front mounted equipment otherwise prevents it, and one at the exterior rear of the vehicle that are securely fastened on the vehicle in a horizontal position of not less than 12 inches from the ground, measuring from the bottom of the license plate.

I got a ticket for it, did the research, and got my ticket dismissed because winch fairlead prevented mounting. Now they make the cool flip up ones so I am good to go.

Edit, it may have changed since then..don't run out and rip off your front license plate

There’s a difference between being a police officer and being a tax collector...
