Can I put the OME 883 coils in the stock TRD struts?

Would you gain any height? I found a used set of 884s and paired them with 5100s and only gained just over an inch. What are the specs on the 883?

Do you have the 2015 prerunner listed in your specs? This is in the third gen forum. Would gain some height if your truck is a 2015 prerunner. For a third gen I don’t think you’d gain much if anything.

Yes, I have a 2015 with 2018 TRD struts and they give me 1 inch more inch over my 4 inch spindles lift. But the coils of the 2018 are rated for 717 LBS and they are too stiff for my truck. So, I was just wondering if someone from the 3rd gen fit an aftermarket coil like the 883 in the OEM Bilstein strut. The 883 give 1.5 of lift to the Tacoma 2wd. I have a set of Struts from a 2018 TRD off road with less than 500 miles on them. So, I was thinking what could be better for me, buying a new set of 5100 or using these shocks with OME springs. The OME 883 is around 600 LBS only.

Well that makes more sense after explaining, but I don’t know the answer for you. I changed to 5100s with the 884s on mine.
