My mechanic has all my service records, with all the recipes for parts used. He would be more than happy to go bat for me if they choose to deny a warranty claim. My mechanic puts the little sticker on the windshield to remind you of your next service. I took my truck in for some warranty work, when the service writer got in my truck to check the mileage he noticed the sticker. Later he said “ I noticed you service your truck at XYZ”, he’s really good. My reply was “ yes I know “, he new what that meant.

Also the Platinum Protection is a rip-off. You technically void it everytime you take your "off-road" off the road. Or if you use it as a corporate vehicle lol.

I’m special, I’m out of there in about 20 minutes. What’s the problem?

They must have seen you coming.

I drop off the night before, pick up the next day when they call to tell me done.

    Waiting at the dealership?

Too much other stuff to do and more than one vehicle to do it with.

I don't mind a little wait as long as they get it done at the quoted time which is usually 60 minutes for the oil change, rotation and check list. I go in right after lunch on a mid week day which seems to be the slowest time and most times it's done under the quoted time. I take my Tacoma in as well as my wife's Avalon. But then again I don't work so there's a little less stress as to time.

This is what I do when someone wants me to wait for anything for a long period of time, - just do something else while you wait, ride your bike, go to the gym, even go to a movie. Don't sit around and stress about it.

I went for the 2 free oil changes, they had me out in an hour or so. I scheduled them for a weekend day...man if some of you can’t afford to take an hour to fuck off on your phone or walk around a dealership while someone changes your oil for free, I feel bad for you. You have attached a monetary value to your time, Hope you figure out how to enjoy it.

I’d rather do it myself than let some kid change the oil in my truck.

You can’t even prove he changed the filter.

Being a former service advisor for 3 years, service at a dealer does take time. With the Inspections, car wash, and the line of people there for service all day its expected. Cant count how many times I've had customer mad about being there for 45 minutes. Blows my mind. Lol

    LS1 swap with nitros.
It's a piece of cake. bulk filters on Amazon, Mobil 1 at Wally mart, and in an hour you have home done oil change and tire rotation for $45. No dealer bs, no leaks, no waiting.
