I haven't broke my seasonal of doing it, but he doesn't do it as much. If we were restricted on how our purchases go, we'd do a lot more of it. But sometimes it takes more time (and money) to salvage a part than just getting a new part or even a completely new component. Case in point, I can get a new trash pump at Harbor Freight for $200. The cost to:

    1. Remove it from it's mount. (15 minutes)
    2. Take it to the shop (1 hour)
    3. Service or repair (varies @ $75/hr)
    4. Pick up from shop (1 hour)
    5. Put back into service (15 minutes)

cost way more than $200. So, unless it's an easy fix that pump is going in the scrap metal bin. I know it grates on some people but it's time. When it's the commodity and there's so few people then we don't waste very much of it when there's a cheaper alternative.

It's going as usual. I did think yesterday was Thursday and not Wednesday so I lost track. Usually I lose a day and not gain one. Thinking I'm doing my 4-10's again, but be on call. I need to get a couple more things done and get some Christmas shopping done, get the lights and tree up.

Our 2nd recliner (in the set) broke so now I have to get at least 1 new one. They were around 10 years old so it was to be expected.
I can't sit in them anymore but my wife enjoys it. But I'm thinking a nice overstuffed chair and ottoman this time.
