Yeayup it’s tough not so much east just where we are east. At least for cool sites, views, features. Pa has tons more camping than NJ but it really doesn’t tickle my fancy. Most of the sites worth driving to for me are 4-6+ hours to get to.

there are a bunch of cool camping sites around PA, i prefer state forests, however sometime it still has a "campground" vibe. I prefer not being around anyone when camping haha

IDK about NJ, but at least where I go camping there is awesome mountain biking / hiking to spend time at as well. this summer I really want to camp on a beach somewhere on the east coast haha

NJ state parks suck. They tell you when and where to camp, and then stick out there hand to pay them to do so. That’s a hard no for me.

Actual allowed camping on the beach as far as I know is in NC. Maryland has Assateague Island but you camp on a parking spot on the other side of the dune

Yeah, all the state forests I like you have to pay... But i'll be doing more research to look for other locations. That campsite didn't look too bad! I've always wanted to camp there!

This is the closest to beach camping i've done (it was private land): https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-build-pic-heavy.442525/page-53#post-18253610

I've been finding a bunch of free permitted camping in PA, NY is in my crosshairs for finding similar stuff next.

Excellent choice! That's what I'm getting when it's time to upgrade. My old Millermatic 140 has been ticking for about 10 years now and doesn't show signs of slowing.

It’s not that it was unfixable.. It was too much to fix.

I dropped it off at industrial welding supply to diagnose the error code and put in a new feeder board or power board. It ended up being the $630 feeder circuit board. They called me and I gave the ok to order it and fix it. Labor charge was $125, so I’m in the hole $755 on a free ($4000) welder. Well they swapped the board and called me.. They said it’s throwing another code, this fix is gonna be an additional $1200. They said do you wanna fix it? I said..
