What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Same. Although probably just going back to stock halogen bulbs. I just started to feel bad for other drivers after getting hit with a truck taller than mines led lights

 

How hard was it?

 

Greased my zerks today with the help of @tonered, and made sure all my u bolts where nice and tight!

 

Wish I could say that I do polish it. I just wash it, need to get a paint correction done, its not bad looking 10 feet away tho.

 

Diggit! I just went without controls since Bluetooth phone controls on dash already and kinda wanted more black so I went with base control pod thingies on the 2013 wheel on my 2008 RC................

 

Do you have a write up on what you used to make it and how you made it? I have been contemplating building my own cab rack vs buying one.

 

Need deets on how you mounted the fire extinguisher.

Essentially just took some leftover 16ga steel sheet I had from making my AUX panel, 2x T-slot nuts/bolts/washers. 2x Super Quick Fist's and 6x nuts/bolts/washers to hold it to the plate. Drilled holes at the top of the plate for the t-slots then 3 holes across for each of the quick fists. I made it long enough to rest on the lip just above the bed box to help control the bottom from bouncing and flopping around. I bought a fire extinguisher from Costco. Its been in my bed for about 2-3 weeks mounted like this and hasn't moved once. Fire extinguisher pictured is a small mount one from an old race car used only for fab work. the full bed picture in my last post is the larger costco extinguisher.

I just cut the metal sheet with 4" grinder with cut off wheel then rounded the edges with a grinder wheel.

*Edit: followed the same procedure for my shovel mount on the other side however I just used 1x T-slot nut and a 2" quick fist for each of the mounts.

 

What kind of glue did u use on the leather, I did mine but can't seem to hold the edges down, thx

 

Finally finished installation of fender flares.
It should give me additional tire coverage and prevent mud projections on all windows and roof...

I expect to see pics next time you get in the mud, I want to see how well the new flares keep it off the truck.

Honestly switching to the new wheel was my favorite change I made to my truck up until my latest suspension change!

 

My truck was pretty plane Jane on the outside until about 3 weeks ago, and I haven’t gotten out too much sense I finished it....lol

 

RDJ Trucks PRO OFFROAD are the flares.
100 % bolt riveted (by myself, because those aftermarket flares have only decorative bolts).

 

I got hit by his led headlights. I dont think the light from his truck could total mine
