I'd be interested as well if is planned far enough out to put in for time off at work.
It be cool to start in the southern part of the state and work the way north Like el camilo dibalo.and end at monument valley would be pretty epic.

I'll be heading from northern california to saguaro in April and then tripping a little around the state. This looks like a great resource. Thanks!

@OnePuttBlunder Yes! This site awesome! AZBDR has basically taken all the guess work out of it! This is seriously awesome! I put together a southern route myself but this is waay better and verified as suitable for 4x4 trucks as well!

Thanks bro! Great resourse and is exactly what I was looking for! Oh we doing it!!

I am in for late January/ Feb to do the first leg, 350+ miles...then the northern route in March/April...

    Talk to me!

I've done a decent chunk of the far south part since it's the same spot the Arizona trail starts so north is cool especially that run from globe since it's aways from the azt

Jan/Feb is plenty far enough out for me to schedule time off.

    Awesome! Where are we starting/finishing?

Gentlemen! I was thinking the first 5 sections of the AZBDR Route. There are 9 total. To me an awesome half way point would be Globe, or just north of.Screenshot_20181214-165212_Chrome.jpg I was thinking the week of Feb. 22-25th. You can do the whole route in 6-7 days depending on speed of operation, I figured 4 full days was plenty. Leave the morning of the 22nd for the border and start the adventure!

I am ok for longer, shorter etc. we can all agree and put in input as to the logostics of meet up, timing and what not.

Talk to me....super stoked! Any input is welcomed and appreciated, if we are all going....everyone should bring something to the table. We all have strengths! Let them shine!

I’m totally in. I was reviewing the route and agree 4 days should be plenty and even afford some relaxing along the way.

I’d say it’s a good time to get a list going of firm participants. I understand life gets in the way but for the sake of proper planning let’s only commit if we know 100% sure we can make it.

Who’s in and where are we starting from?

Barring something last minute (like getting a job...), I am 100% in. Picking up a new RTT Friday next week when I go to San Diego for Christmas at my daughters. Sliders should be done sometime after Christmas/New Years and hopefully @JeepAndrew will have the time to fab up a bed rack for the RTT after that. Maybe he would also be interested in doing this?

I don't really have any input for route or anything like that since I am new to AZ still and know nothing of any of the trails in the surrounding areas. I just want to go, learn and have fun!

I'm like 90% sure I'd be able to get a few days to do this. Im also located in Tucson and relatively new to AZ (just under 2 years). I'm also down for shorter trips if people in the area ever want to go

Good morning guys, I updated the original post with attendees in two categories, one for confirmed attendees and one for highly probable. When time off etc is confirmed, let me know and I’ll move your name to the confirmed list. Then we can start to talk about additional ideas.

So are we settling on a date? Assuming February 22 thru 25. Should probably have that in the first post as well.

So I'm curious. AZBDR or any BDR are technically motorcycle routes, correct? Now, I've never been on any of them before so I really have no idea but are they accessible for trucks? Meaning are they mostly wide enough? I've known about them for years since I ride but I'm a street rider. I'm on the ADVriders forums as well and have seen some pics, not specifically of the AZBDR but other areas and they didn't look like 4x4 trails, mostly tiny goat trails suitable for single track and such. I'm not worried about getting my truck scratched up or anything, just curious how 4x4 accessible the trails are.

Well,, I took a closer look at the route and see that it's mostly dirt/graded road so I guess that answers my question. I've seen some gnarly looking stuff on the advriders forum that looked like a lot of single track with overgrowth on the side that really wouldn't be 4x4 accessible without destroying the trail.
