So I think what the ppl do that run this event is outstanding. They can’t control what everyone does, but they still go to great lengths to secure backups for those that get shafted.

I know it’s frustrating waiting, but I also think people are getting too impatient. Since the event starts mid Nov (in efforts to give ppl enough time to purchase items) receivers expect something early.

A way to mitigate this is by postponing the start but then everyone will complain they don’t have enough time!.....haha

This is no bash or harsh comment to anyone on here. I only say this because even I have not sent my stuff yet to my giftee (although have no fear, it’s puchased, just not sent yet due to life and adulting haha)

We all have until the 25th . I hope people don’t get discouraged by those that send out gifts on 16 Nov. this is a great event and hopefully we can keep it going and growing every year!

Great work @TWSS and those that take part!

Me, and the guy waiting on me. I have been slacking this year, I have a few small things but have been struggling to find a good package to put together for my victim. Hopefully I will find something and have it headed across country by the beginning of next week.

Next year they should definitely reach out to us and see if they need an extra hand. Im sure there are a handful of us that wouldnt mind helping in keeping track of things. A simple excel spreadsheet would suffice.

I def don’t want to speak for them, but in the past 3-4 years of doing this, they always seem super sneaky (in a controlling way) about how they run this. I would bet you won’t see them offering up too many positions because the smaller, highly trusted group that all know each other make this easier for them to manage than opening the door to those that would kindly help out. Kind of the “too many chefs spoil the brew” mentality.

They would be too concerned with having to make up for other people’s “help” and sorting out things they messed up haha

    I could be wrong though

Thanks @TWSS for putting this on

Gunther from Las Vegas did his homework
I broke my flashlight a month ago fixing a car in the driveway. I may need to start getting organized with the organizer. Didnt know that i posted anything about collecting matchbox n hotwheels but got one for the collection. And a bottle for when the cc bill shows up. And loved the toy for mickey. Will need to try the battery pack. And glove flashlight? That is incrediable.loved everything.

    Thanks a bunch

Not really sure helping hands are needed. At some point the people participating have to keep up the gentleman's agreement on their end.

@TWSS collects names, spreads them among participants and then makes a thread for people to post recieving gifts.

No way for them to enforce making people post, to send gifts by a certain date etc. I know everyone wants to see the joy or disappointment the gifts they pick out brought their person. But there will always be people that don't post much, don't know this thread exists or are either nonchalant about it all.

The ladies and gentlemen who put this together have put in the effort and the work. Now it's just up to us as adult members to also do our parts. They can't hold our hands thru the entire process.

    Just my worthless .02 cents.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
My gift would have been delivered to my giftee today, but USPS said it was forwarded to a different address (either at the recipient's request, or due to an incorrect address).

I guess I will wait and see which one it was...
