I “stop by the shop” way too often. They are probably sick of me. I swear, the FrontRunner sidedoor option is a popular one. I love the fact that the guys at Vagabond are constantly refining their processes as well as their equipment. It’s a company to stand behind, in my opinion.

Dude! I barely caught you as you drove by. I was singing “Baby Shark” to my daughter and thought “ Damn, that looks like MJ with out a Drifter...”
I waved, but it may have been too late. Sorry. I would have “stopped by” if I had known you were in town. :D

I got Drifter fever and I'm hoping to turn it into the flu...Any Drifters cruising around the Santa Barbara, Ventura, SLO, or N. LA County area that I could perv out on before pulling the trigger? At this point based on the thread, I'm nearly ready to just go into it sight unseen but seeing one in person should surely seal the deal. p.s. loving all the updates, mods, and tips, keep em coming!

I'll be in Ventura area for a few days leading up to Christmas. I can't make any promises, but might be able to meet up sometime that weekend.

I talked to @Iggy a few days ago and he said it's still about 6 months, but they were working on ways to speed up production. So :notsure:, but I assume I'll be waiting the full 6.

Thanks for the input. I'm sure others that are waiting appreciate the information.

6 months is actually really good for a custom wedge camper (might I add, the BEST wedge camper on the market - but I'm obviously biased :D). That means you'll still have most of the summer to have fun with your new Drifter. Hell, people from out of the area can plan to pick it up and enjoy the beautiful landscape of the CA before/after you pick it up. If you're coming from any other state, you will for sure be passing some wonderful places to camp.

NP. We all want it sooner, but it is what it is. I'm actually kind of glad for the 6 months though as it'll give me time to recover from the hit to my finances, so I can actually do some stuff to it when its ready to go. Not that I wouldn't love to have it today, but I'm going to want to do stuff to it.

And give people the time to upgrade their rear leaf springs to accommodate the extra weight with gear and such!

Currently running HD Dakars and installed the bed stiffeners a few months ago. Good to know about the rails/hangers/fuse box.

for Dakar compatibility... if you go with the BAMF hangers, use your stock shackles. Or get Deavers / Alcans etc.
