2nd gen here, but I'll play. Truck was like new in and out for about 2 years until I caught a vine driving in the woods. It pulled a branch across the passenger side and left some pretty good pin stripes. I was pretty upset until I realized that that is going to be one of many branch scrapes on my truck. Inside is still like new though.

Not sure there is a Taco out there that is more babied than mine. Mine is in a climate controlled garage and has only seen rain maybe 3 times. Just hit 3k miles after 1.5 years of ownership.

Oh it defintiely is.. The issue is I just have too many cars/bikes and not enough time.

Maybe I'll hit a trail next summer.

I used to love the new car smell until i found out it VOCs escaping all the plastic and vinyl parts inside your car.

Tried for several months to keep it pristine but bought it in March and had several fishing trips over the spring and summer that came up. Those trips were 3-4 hours away and I have a German Shepherd that rides in the back seat.........eating, dog, gear, dirt roads.........

With a good detail though it would be 98% back to looking brand new. With 30K on it no scratches that wouldnt lightly polish out and only 2 rock chips

Love it probably because it was making you high LOL

Where else would you put your coke? The Tacoma doesn’t have cup holders I don’t think.

Since it has not stopped raining in Southeastern Pa. since July 9th, it's kinda hard to keep it clean. Grrrrrrr.

I use my truck and drive A LOT, so it's hard to be crazy about it. Buuuuut, I voted "meh" because I do take care of it and I do clean it when it gets bad. Then I'm all protective and anal until I load the kids up,the weather is bad etc, then once it's a little past perfect, it's a truck again until I clean it. But it can go months between cleanings. However, my truck is NEVER messy. I take everything out at the end of the day....

    meinst du verboten?

Mine was IMMACULATE for about 4 months. Then winter came, and I took a dusty trip to Colorado, and I just backslid from there.

My problem is I leave my ventvisors open to combat the Utah sun, but then the Utah dust ALWAYS finds a way in. Then you drive down a trail with the windows down and it's basically Mad Max.

Life is too short to give a shit about keeping vehicles pristine. I keep mine clean and in good working order but beyond that, an extra thousand bucks at trade in isn't worth the stress or time of trying to keep a vehicle perfect. I bought it to do work for me, not me for it. I'm sure all those wrinkly old men on golf courses are having a great time not driving their cars, I'd rather have fond memories over flawless metal.

Plus some asshole dropped a bike on my hood in the parking lot the first month I owned it anyway and left a deep ass scratch in the paint.

I don't go nuts cleaning the outside every week. I'm loving how the Cement doesn't show nearly as much dirt etc. as my last '07 black Taco (understandably).
My OCD trigger is clutter on the inside. Like @famof5taco said, I clean it out pretty much after every use. To the point of throwing shit away I needed unfortunately! Washing and cleaning the outside is hit or miss...

I thought the same thing. But taking into consideration how many of the paint jobs change in the different lighting I can see it...

Yeah inferno can go from a blazing fire orange on sunny days to a faded brick tone on overcast days.
    Very moody color.
