My 2018 Tacoma is parked on the street in front of my house. Three times the alarm has gone off with no one around it. I have had to use the fob to shut it off. I really don’t want that to happen when I’m not around to shut it off. Is there something I can do, or should I take it back to my dealer?

Does it have some type of motion/vibration detection?

See alarms go off all the time when motorcycles or loud cars go by. Or maybe a kid on a bike thumping your window. You know, to make your alarm go off.

If you weren't looking right at it when it happened..............

And getting a diagnostic to replicate random events is tough.

You're not bumping the 'panic' button in your pocket are you?

Either one of the door ejar lights are coming on or the hood latch switch if it has a sensor in it, could be faulty or a bad connection. Either way bring it to the dealer and have them check into it since its still under warranty.
