They didn't come with any. One tip is to make sure you put a lot of pressure on the top of the cap when you bolt it down toward the end (near the tailgate). Many (including us) have learned this helps minimize a gap quite a bit. Taping the holes before you install the caps is a good idea IMHO. Good luck.

I think 3rd gen ones may be different because I saw MJs and mine have three or four holes on top so I need to figure out what hardware I need as well

My 3rd gen rails came with instructions. I think I trashed them after use though. From memory (use at your own risk): pull up old bed rails starting at the tailgate. There are numerous clips that can be depressed from the side with a flathead (if you’re planning on keeping them). Once pulled, wipe down the bed rails to remove dust. Remove one 10mm bolt near tailgate (should be obvious when you look at the hole placement on the KB rail). Place the KB rail on the bedside to determine where to drill the holes - mark these locations. Apply 3 each of the ~2” long foam adhesive strips to each location that the holes will be drilled. Mark these locations using the KB rail. Remove the rail and Drill through the 3 layers of foam being careful to keep the drill level and straight. *Not in the instructions: Apply foil tape and sealant to bed rail.

The KB rails come with double sided foam tape for adhering the rail to the bed side, up to you if you want to use that in addition to the sealant. Place KB rail on bed side. Bolt in rail using the 10mm bolt (keeping it loose). Thread in three screws where the holes were drilled earlier. Tighten everything down (careful not to over tighten - the bedsides look like they’d be easy to strip). From what I remember, the screws are relatively beefy.

Guys I don’t know what else to say, other than installing the KB VooDoo bed caps is pretty easy. If you simply take off your oem bed caps, you’ll quickly learn how to replace it with the KB VooDoo ones. Just know that you’ll have to take off your bedrails, and then put on the caps, and the bedrails will then sandwhich the new bed caps. They even use the same bolt holes, so by puting the bed rails back on, you’ve already installed the kb voodoo bed caps. The only hole(s) that arent fastened behind the bed rails are the two (or one for me since I trimmed it to accommodate tailgate reinforcement brackets) toward the tailgate. Like someone else mentioned, apply pressure on top and then fasten it down.

Edit: for 2nd gens. Can’t speak to the install instructions for the turd gens

Hey @Iggy, did you ever make any progress on mounts for the HS2000 and HS2211, for inside or outside of the bed?

2nd gens is super easy and does not require instructions. 3rd gen is much more involved.

Thanks for clarifying. I was gonna chalk it up to turd gen owners being turd gen owners :stirthepot:

A lil this a lil that.
question to the 3rd gen tacoma/vagabond owners. There is a gap between the voodoo bed rail cap and the back of the bed (orange circle). How have 3rd gen owners been filling the gap?

I filled it with expanding foam pads so they wedged themselves in and have stayed put. My bed is water tight.
@Iggy the strip you have on mine works perfectly. It has a flap. Any ideas where he can get it or if it would work with production models?

The front flaps, I call them
skirts, come with the new campers. I’m trying to think if we’ve done a third gen with KB caps. @Overlanerd would know better.

I don’t see the need for them (anyone feel free to inform) unless ppl are wanting to bolt the camper to the bedsides and lose the c clamps maybe. I haven’t needed them and I have the heavy hitter. The triple channel weather seal is perfect in that regard.

I just used some painters tape to make "walls" on each side and underneath, and then filled it with the same silicone I used to seal under the bedrail caps. It's been perfect so far (~6 months).

As far as the skirt goes, it ended up flapping EXTREMELY loudly on my '17 DCSB at high speeds (~75+) or in heavy crosswinds.
So I just took it off, and never looked back. I haven't had any issues with water intrusion or anything, especially with the sealing I did before install.

Not sure if the design on that has changed at all, since I was something like Drifter #10.
And I'm sure that would be very dependent on minor variations from rig to rig (roof rack, cab type, etc). But Iggy did mention that with my sealing, combined with 1 or 2 small differences in the 3rd gen design in that area, that it probably wasn't needed anyway.

What size of Colder fittings are those? I’d guess 3/8” size? Looking to pick up a set to stick on my drawer system when I pick it up next week!! Looks sharp, now to figure out how to mount my ridge slide to the top!!
