Ah, I misunderstood that part in your first post. Looks like I'll be ordering a set if that's the case. My Huskies have seen better days!

I have tan interior and went with black husky. The black with tan looks really good, i think, and matches a lot of the interior accents. Avoids having multiple shades of tan.

Not sure how tan in a grey interior would look though.

Post a picture of your VIN sticker. It’ll have codes which tell you the original factory paint color and the original interior color.

We have the charcoal carpet but the oak trim. I think. I’m leaning tan for the mats since they’re sort of plastic like the trim. And brighter overall. Things can be dark and dreary in New England — a bright interior is nice. It also feels cooler in the summer

Cool man, do it. It's your truck so you gotta do what works for you regardless of popular vote here :)

I doubt many people will ever notice or care for the difference between grey and tan in real life.

You don't have the oak (tan) trim, you have the grey. I think it's just dirty. If you get the tan mats that's gonna look pretty strange IMO.

If you saw an oak interior in person, you'd know. they're pretty different. Personally, I'd go with black mats for the grey interior.

I have the black weathertech mats for the fronts, good contrast and accent color. still collects the dirt nicely, but I don't care about brightening my interior :)

Black goes best with the inside
It'll accent the front dash and display area
Would avoid trying to color match a grey or tan color

As said, Lunar Mist came with Charcoal (gray) interior. Some plastic pieces might look tanish but they are not, if you compare them with actual Oak (tan) interior you'll see that they are completely different.

I think tan floor mats will look awkward. Personally I'd go with gray or black but gray would be my choice.

I have the same color truck & I have gray Husky liners. But I got them long before Weather Tech made them for dcabs. I thought about getting Weather Techs but I read that they don't have the spikes on the bottom like the Husky Liners so they can slip around if you don't add those aftermarket claw things. Are the Weather Techs still like that?

I don't seem to have that issue with my weather techs. Or I don't notice it.
the material seems hard and gives a good 'knock' when u hit it. It seems to be supported and formed well by the sidewalls so there isn't much slip in my opinion.
Forget what the underside looks like - I'll snap a pic of when I get the chance.

There's a hole where the claw-thing can grab it, but I don't use it.

they are super nice though I will say. I'm sure the husky's are nice too but I'm happy with the weathertech.
I mean it's a floor mat I'm sure you could go either way it'll be just fine

The material almost feels like a hard plastic rather than a rubber.. Rigid Rubber which I sorta like. But it's made well, thick, and feels high quality.
I've dropped coffee, water, even spilled oil on them and the sidewalls do a great job from keeping that crud from spilling over.
Maybe slides around some if you push it but I don't notice it - I suppose you could add small rivets or glue spots to the bottom if you really wanted to.
The hole in the mat (if u can see in photo) doesn't quite line up perfectly where the claw thing is on the truck (my guess is this may have changed location from tacoma model years maybe?), however but the actual sidewalls and contours of the truck are spot on.

Yes I need to give her a good clean!

I have the charcoal grey interior color and ended up getting the black weather tech because I wasn't sure if the grey would be a good match.

Much of the advice tended towards black — it’s good advice, so of course I ignored it.

I think the tan works pretty well. It’s not matched of course but it doesn’t seem to particularly clash. Several of the black mats pictured in the thread show light colored mud/salt/etc., which maybe these will hide better?

Photos are from a snowy late afternoon in New England, so the light is what it is.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

I’m new to Tacomas and when I said that the plastic was tan, some suggested that it was Oak. Consensus is that you are right and this is Charcoal. Thanks for clarifying.
