For the last 4 days I've gotten the air bag (SRS) light on my dash in the morning. It's been -3C here in Canada. Brought it into the dealer and they tested the voltage in all the sensors and rebooted the SRS.

The tech's suspects it is a low battery voltage from the batter (50% charge) that is causing the light to throw an Error.

Anyone have any similar experiences with cold weather and battery that throw errors?

Brought it to the dealer last week. They restarted the SRS airbag in the system. It went on after I picked it up the same day. Truck went back the next day. Waited for a new crash sensor for half a week. Picked up the truck yesterday. And the dash SRS light tunrned on after starting the truck the second time.

Light comes on only when the truck is extremely cold? Did you place the battery on a charger and try with a full charge yet? I would do that first, and check in the morning or when the truck is cold soaked with a fully charged battery, just to rule that issue out as a cause.

It does do it on cold weather but I've also had the issue in mild weather. The battery was the first suspect in the problem from the dealer. I've put the battery on a charger, but that didn't seem to make a difference.

It seems to start fine without the SRS light on but if I restart my car after running errands, the error appears on the dash. I hope the dealer can find the issue as I know someone else on the forum has a similar issue.

    Bummer.

Be sure you report the resolution please. We have so many questions here and never get the final answer..........

But sounds like you are determined, and on the right path. SRS is something best left to the dealer to resolve.

Got the truck back today. They ended up replacing the air bag sensor in the engine bay. Fingers crossed that it works. No light yet, but who knows.

I’ve had it happen to me in a 07, every time it was when I would first start truck in 30 degree weather or below. I could let truck warm up then shut it off and when I restarted it light would go out and not come back on rest of day. Never could figure out why and when I would take it to dealer they never could replicate it. I now have a 2012 Corolla and it does it. Wish I knew why

Got the truck back today. Sounds like a wire on the passenger air bag in the dash was nicked during the installation from the factory. Fingers crossed that was the issue.

    Dammit man.

They're gonna end up getting desperate and rigging something. I'd take it to a different dealer.
