I didn't get the color samples wither but I was pretty set on colors to begin with. I think they started the color sample care package pretty shortly after us (and @rkam65 too). I think they'll hook us up with some decals when we pick it up hopefully.

I was hoping to be able to snag it when I went up there for Christmas but looks like my build will finish up right after the holidays.

I actually emailed about the color samples. I am #182 and they said they started sending the samples around camper #195.

Hey I'm always fishing for decals lol

I was pretty set on colors when I met the gfc folks at expo West. Black panels, gray frame. This will be on my superwhite dclb and will help the storm trooper vibe ive got going on

:angrygirl:i figured I must have been right in the cross hairs of some change. We'll see what they say. If not maybe some nice person will ship me their samples once done with choosing colors. Or I'll just have to make a decision and call it a day.

Good choices. I went with white and orange for my white DCSB. Looking forward to meeting the GFC crew.

For those that already have their GFC, is the inside of the panels still have the texture finish or it is flat?

Inside of the panels is textured just like the outside.

Has anyone set up a ski rack on top of their GFC yet? Curious as to what set ups people are using.

I've seen someone has already mounted a rocketbox on the yakima crossbars. Shouldn't be too hard to use the bars for a clamp style rack either. Or just chuck em in the bed.

    Edit:

This is what I'll be doing - as soon as i get a set of cross bars. I've been cruising CL looking but nothing has popped up yet. I hate to go buy retail...

Yup check out the chase sapphire cards. If u spend 3 or 5k in the 1st 3 months u get a few hundred bucks worth of points for travel. They got annual fees though..

I also got the email today about color samples. 12 short weeks til they start building ours. :taco:

Keep in mind (unless the policy changes) there is a 2.9% fee on top of the $5750 base price for charging a credit card. Not 100% sure if that’s current, but that was policy when they first started taking orders.

Yea I’m glad you mentioned that. Hopefully it comes up during the payment process, but that would suck to pay additional just for using a credit card. I guess debit card would avoid that charge?

The credit card surcharge was just in the beginning. The current pricing now has that built in.

The round bar towers are for 1.125" diameter bars (the yakima standard bars). In February we'll also have single bar versions of our own roof rack with the T-track extrusion we designed. We'll still offer the round bar towers but our new racks are going to have some neat features. While in Baja we'll also be testing out an in-bed rack/platform based on our rack system. The photo is still very much a prototype but I'm pretty excited about being able to keep everything solidly tied down in the bed.
