Lol I thought it would just be the Southern Ontario dealers that had no clue that these trucks are used in other places besides mall parking lots.

Dealer I went to for my 8K inspection ...
"Boy those are some real heavy duty side steps you have on your truck there, they must weigh a couple hundred pounds!"
" Oh you mean my rock sliders?
    "Rock sliders?"
So I explained what and the why of rock sliders... LOL

It seems like people in Ontario have no idea of the fun of off-roading. Let alone you can go off-road in something besides a Heep or a Side by Side.

I wish we had something like a Moab park up here , whaaaaa

Stoufville know all about it. Two of the techs there love my truck and one of the managers loves it . Every time I'm there he asks about it . And asks if I can give them pictures for advertisement hahaha

Closest thing to Moab near us would probably be Rauch Creek

All the '19 Pro's I've seen have had snorkels on them (4 so far). I *think* it's standard/mandatory on the Canadian Pros.

    'desert intake'

I really want to see one and see how well sealed it is .

I feel like it would be like the airflow one like Peter has which uses a flexible plastic thing to connect . Without putting plumbers putty it's not water tight

Not sealed well enough for protection from water according to Toyota, The intake is higher than the roof too, reason is they don't attach at the A pillar, they attach at the front-most roof rack mounting point.
In a few of the other threads someone mentioned they can't use their roof rack with the Pro because of the snorkel mounting point and the "scoop" of the snorkel is to high and too far back so interferes with the roof rack.

Another thing that bothers me about water with the Tacomas is, they have two computer modules hidden down inside the frame rail on the driver side the the front of the door, and another one on the outside of the frame on the passenger side. I want to pick up some dielectric grease and pack the connectors and seams on those things before I attempt anything deeper than the hubs. And any other connector under the truck. Last thing any of us needs is electrical gremlins because of a corroded connector or condensation inside a computer...
I guess Toyota figured the puddles don't get too deep in the Starbucks parking lots.

Every spring I go under and put some grease on any wire ends I can find.
