Indeed he is and I'm impressed with how he's doing it this year. He still is getting shots off from his office but now he is going to the net more and making it happen.

 

Ya for sure. You know, 1 thing that I think he doesn't get credit for is how his game has evolved over the years. For a guy that people like to glance at and just say he is a '1 trick pony', it's so far from the truth. Sure he has 'his office', like you said. We all know that. But in his young years he had crazy speed and would like run people over while he had the puck, taking it to the net. Then as he got older he seemed to get a little more finesse in his game. And he continues to tweak things to keep his output at a high level. I think he just has the vision and able to think the game on how to be in the right spot, when to take a shot etc. I remember people said that once he slows down and D-men start to read his little drag and shoot, he won't have the ability to score. And here we are in the 2019 season and he in his 30s still scoring at a crazy pace. Props, and I live in Pittsburgh lol.

 

I know you are a Pens fan we have had a few discussions on Hockey in the past. We were lucky to draft him but really couldn't have gone wrong we we could have had Sid or Ovi and I would have been OK with either yet still glad we got him on the good guys side!

 

He's been one of the most exciting players to watch over the years.

As much as I don’t like the hit he laid out on Backlund he answered the bell today knowing he was going to have to which I can definitely respect.
