Sweet rig, you find any good trails around your area for offroading that last more than 1 hour? I'm from Virginia around the WV coast and there is barely shit in Virginia.

Not yet .. just got the truck back from Hawaii a few weeks ago and been busy with the holidays / getting things ready college / etc. Most of what her group of friends have told me about or shown me looks pretty easy going out in the hills.

If you’re close to Canaan, there’s a big loop down there I believe. You can stay in Thomas or Davis for the night and hit up Stumptown (local brewery) and get an early start the next morning. That’s our plan when the snow comes!

Awesome. We’re gonna be down there in a few months for a little vacation to do some of the touristy things / just get away. I’ve heard it’s an awesome place for hiking, kayaking, and now there’s a decent craft beer and wine scene.

Yeah its awesome for outdoor sports; I guess is what you would call them. So many mountain bike trails and hiking trails. Also have the parkway that runs through the mountains. Beautiful. Also have the star on top of the mountain. Besides all of that. Not much else to do but look at old shit/ eat food and drink alcohol lol.

Hey questions about the bamf sliders with cbi skids. Just to make sure you did not have any issues with mounting the cbi skids with the bamf sliders ??

No problem. Luckily, there’s a small notch in the sliders where the rear crossmember portion contacts the bottom of the frame, so there’s no issues.

Only issue I had was not having a cutoff wheel or something similar for the brake line bracket as shown in pics.

If you haven’t ordered the skids yet, don’t order them with powder and get it done locally if you want to go that route. It’s thin and rubs off in shipping. BAMF sliders are fine to get powdered, I have the old stuff, which is great and his new powder is supposedly even better.

Edit - marked up a pic showing where you’ll clear. Make sure you remove those rubber plugs so you can run the bolts through.

    1. Slow releasing clutch, ride reverse so I don’t back into the next state.
    2. Frozen nozzles for windshield wipers for an hour.
    3. Gas tank overflow because it was too cold to kick the nozzle off.
    Ah, winter. Welcome back.

    Update to cold weather:

Had to change her OEM battery out. Not holding a charge.. at -10° wind chill. Found out it was dying at 1am Saturday night getting gas by the river. With my battery pack and jumper cables in my truck.

    Why.

Went from her OEM 390CCA to a 640CCA.. and gonna get her a NoCo battery jumper when they’re on sale again.

Nice. It’s gonna be warm (40°) the next few days so I won’t know how they do in the snow for a week or two again.
