Ton of kids go from and to school in any weather it seems. Rain, wind, the "snow". I know I would have found a way to stay home haha

Hell I walked to school and back from 1st grade til I bought a truck in 10th grade. But sometimes I got a ride if the weather was severe.

Luckily the primary, elementary and Junior high were all within my neighborhood. The high school was like 2 miles away

You're just the first person I've ever heard say that.

Literally no one I know likes him, including my friends who are Bernie and O'Rourke supporters.

I'm sure being mayor of Houston is a hell of a difficult job with complexities we know nothing about, especially considering the general population knows almost nothing about him or the issues facing the City of Houston. The average Houstonian probably knows more about NYC or Chicago than they do their own city. Additionally, since Houston is spread over a wide geographic area, I suspect that Mayor Turner's policies are greater felt, have a bigger and more visible impact closer to the city proper/downtown/midtown/uptown.

So while I'm not happy about the battle the City and HPD is waging against HFD, I'm pretty positive there is important and relevant information that is not in the public sphere (or not widely known/easily accessible anyway) that makes it difficult to have an accurate picture one way or another.

Btw. I've had two friends become HFD during Mayor Turner's tenure.

I wasn't aware that I was mad. Thanks for letting me know, though.

HPOU sued the City and HPFFA and won an injection against the implementation of Proposition B.

So the status quo remains for the time being.
