I wouldn't recommend that. The body and bed move independently.

 

I'm lucky to go 2 pages back and find something funny to say. Very likely whatever I say isn't relevant to the conversation, but at least I think it's funny...

 

It's not the frame, it's the body mounts...

Reminds me of a guy we all knew in high school: Danny Dancourt. He had this big POS 70's Ford with a big block. Everyone called it the V-Truck. He thought it was because of the V-8, but it was actually because his frame was V-shaped. You could see dents and wear marks in his cab from the frame flexing.

Personally, anyone who throws a domestic V8 in a toyota need to be taken out back and beaten with a hose.

Prepare to cage the engine, reinforce the frame, front suspension, drive train, fuel mods, the entire electric system (mostly rerouting) let's see what else...

The 3.4's are reliable, don't need to be worked on all that much, and don't need to be all that powerful (it's a tiny little truck).

If you want to throw a big V8 in there, at least go with a land cruiser or an I-Force V8 or something.
