A robust drawer system would certainly solve the problem I was referring to. Nicely done!

Is that the diamondback SE of HD? Also, in your set up w/ cover, tonneau brackets and rack, it looks like it’s just a hair under the level of the shark fin. Did you add anything on top of the top bars to clear the shark fin w/ the ikamper? Do you experience any wear at the point that the brackets and diamondback contact each other?

Just saw this, so I actually made a slide to access the other half of my bed when off roading. Again this design comes out when I’m not camping. I had angle iron and 3/4” square tube welded together to make a flat tray skeleton that I riveted 3/16” thick aluminum to. It allows my Dometic 75DZ to just barely fit underneath and I can still access water cubes or whatever I place there. I used two C channels as guides with T nuts attached to the end of the slide so at full extension it doesn’t flip out. Works well enough

I got the SE as I don’t have ATV’s to load on top, and figured I wouldn’t carry more than 500lbs up there. I added two six foot 1” square tubes that I hit with truck bed liner to go unto the tent. For my iKamper I did not use the standard brackets, but drilled a hole through the square tube, through the extruded aluminum cross beam, to a lock nut. So I have four 3 1/2” carriage bolts going through the rack to screw the tent directly to the rack. This gives me just enough clearance so when the bed flexes it does not hit the shark fin. Originally I tried a 1/2” of height using washers and it would tap the fin a little at full flex.

As far as wear, the tonneau brackets have made indentation marks on the plastic side caps of the bed walls, but not the cover. At each corner, on the bottom of the crossbeam that joins at the tonneau cover bracket, I glued rubber pads so it wouldn’t scratch the DB cover. The cover is so thick the rack almost sits on top of it.

You can kind of see the black square tube under the tent support beam in this shot

In this shot you can make out how awesome of a night it was :)

Buy it! I love mine, most of the time my truck is in DD mode without the rack. My cover stays on all the time. But with a 9/16” socket wrench it comes off in 5mins or less to move a dresser or something. And I swear I had a 1-2mpg bump, but that’s with any cover

Do the tonneau cover brackets interfere with opening the Diamondback cover?

Any updates on the aluminum Hi-Rise? Going to be in the market for these in the next month or so.

    Thanks!

I decided to add full extension 56” locking sliders to my @KB Voodoo drawer. It extends out completely now for easy unloading. I am going to extend the rear of the drawer 12” as I have the long bed rack on my short bed truck, and it will give me more room to fully utilize the space under the rack. Everyone likes a bigger rack

Obviously when the rack is on the cover won’t open, but the tonneau brackets stay on 100% of the time and do not interfere. I did have to move the cleats

My update is they are awesome, and I would buy it again. I made another change to my rack in that I added a perpendicular mount to the rack right behind the rear window. I added a Quickpitch privacy/shower, so my daughters would feel better about changing and showers.

I find this rack is very versatile.

The mount is painted now but not in these photos

I don’t have a photo yet of the shower open on my truck, but here is an example 78B77781-A839-4837-AE8C-77B02D867501.jpg

I finished my @KB Voodoo drawer extension. I had some aluminum leftover from my bedslide project so I was able to add another 12” of space. I switched out the standard sliders for 56” full extension locking sliders and added supports to the slider in the rear most section. Works well to be able to place some random gear like chairs which always take up awkward room wherever they go. Especially since I have camp rocking chairs :thumbsup:70C84912-E7F6-4E74-976A-130D774BC234.jpg 0963A1FB-58E9-4CC7-884F-12EBACB84DBC.jpg FF158A02-CF13-4533-ADE7-7F24F337D110.jpg27E2DE8E-8F71-409F-8A12-273887C28CC3.jpg
