How do they mount to the truck?

 

Used bubble gum.

 

I am thinking double sided 3M would be the easiest method.

Unless people want to drill into their trucks. I bought a 4x4 logo off eBay not long ago with the same stuff and it hasn’t failed me

 

Does it then create a gap between the badge and truck surface the thickness of the tape? Forgive me for asking but I’m not that familiar with how it works.

Yes, there is a small gap, it depends on how picky you are on it, I’ll look around for the slimmest I can find.

 

That must be how the OEM badges are done right? I don’t see mounting hole in the body when people do a badge delete on their trucks.

 

On 3M’s website it says the tape is 0.46mm thick.

I’d buy two, I even think you could sell just unpainted parts and let the buyer paint themselves. Like you said, you aren’t a pro painter, and it would give you more time to print and sell more instead of getting stuck spending time painting.

Also no offense to micwilla, but I wouldnt worry about selling this because it’s close to what he was doing, it isnt like he came up with the Pro badge design, that’s Toyota’s design.
