I may have scored. Finaly found a topper. A friend works at a toyota dealership 60 miles away. They have a 08 tacoma ac with an are commercial topper on it. I showed interest in it a week ago but they would not part with it. Today they called. Someone wants to buy the truck but wants a tanue cover. Talked them into buying my cover for 200 and giving me the topper. They even agreed to do the labor. So 2 weaks i will have a topper.

 

Wait you get 200 bucks for your tonnue cover plus a shell and free install? Did I read that correctly?

cool cool. so, not including the leaf pack does that gain you any lift? also, with stock shackle length, do they give u more droopy droop?

 

It should give you a negligible amount of lift, like 1/4”. I didn’t actually measure. And in theory it would give you more droop, but my shocks are still my limiting factor so I won’t gain any until I go to a shock relocate with 12” smoothies

 

They look like they sit a little further back putting the shackle in a better position compared to stock. When I asked if they were different I was looking at the frontal pic it didn't look like it had that swoop up and the notches cut out.

Ahhh yeah that part was taken away. People were dropping so far, their leafs/shackles were making contact with it. One guy had his truck on a lift, and when he came off it both sides were stuck at full droop lol

Ah got ya so it is different than what's pictured That sounds like a good update though. Wonder why they were catching though. BAMF makes them like that and I haven't heard of them doing that.

Nope just took mental pictures of where my shackles sit at ride height and compared them to these.
