Tundra hyper-silver double 5-spokes with 265-70-17 BFG All-Terrains. Compact Cobra CB in the ashtray slot. Cut a small hole in the plastic and mounted the antenna to the drivers side windshield wiper mount using an old Harley Davidson blinker bracket. 1 1/4" drywall screw is holding door handle together nicely.
    Temporary fix for a cracked/broken door handle... I used a 1 1/4" sheet metal screw. Pre-drilled a 1/8" hole so that the screw wouldn't crack the plastic. 20181214_135637.jpg 20181214_135623.jpg

This is kind of different because most people post in this thread when they do cool shit to their truck. Today I Removed the rear Icon 1.5” AAL and lowered the front to match the stock rear. I recently went back to 31’s and wanted to bring it down. My stock leafs are actually not in as bad of shape as I was expecting (flat not negative). I went from about 2” of threads showing on the front coil overs to about 1” of threads. It’s level with the rear. Truck rides wayy smoother. I like It. I’ve never had it at stock height with stock tires since I’ve owned it. My drive to work recently doubled so it makes The ride a lot easier. May have future plans for the truck once I have another vehicle and it’s not my DD. Getting an alignment in the morning. Also greased the TC UCA bushings. Will post pics tomorrow of ride height difference.

Upgraded my headlights today with a better harness and bulbs. Removed the LED bulbs installed by the PO.

These were the LED bulbs. They worked good and have the shield things for the high beams but I still wasn't happy with them. Still scattered and not correct for the OEM housings. I also didn't have a working high beam indicator on the dash, now I do which I much prefer.

Then I put new Marlin Crawler shifter bushings and t-case shifter bushings in, along with replacing the origial boots that attach to the trans and t-case. Glad I ordered those since the t-case boot tore while I was pulling it off the t-case.

This is what was left of the OEM t-case shifter bushing. That was a pain to clean out, I ended up grabbing the shop vac to keep that all out of the t-case while scrapping it loose with a screwdriver.

I didn't think either of the shifters were working bad but the t-case definitely is a huge difference in shifting, much more positive now.

Then I installed these fancy spot mirrors. I've always used them on my trucks but these are much better than any of the ones I have used previously. Glad I mistakenly ordered 2 sets, now I have a set to replace the old ones on my Ram.

Fixing shitty wiring jobs, that were causing leaking into the cab through the firewall. Suppose to rain tomorrow. That will be the real test.FA52A474-38E8-4CAE-955B-92DC33D338B2.jpg

How are you fixing it? Replacing the boot and bundling the wires better or just gooping the shit out of it with RTV sealant or something?

Those Bilsteins are nitrogen charged shocks. Which means they can be mounted shaft up or shaft down. They will work equally well either way. In fact, I would not run them shaft down because the blue shaft cover will act like a cup and will retain water/debris/mud etc.

I cut them, put them through the boot, sodered them back together, heat shrinked them and siliconed the boot. I originally put the wires on the outside of the boot and it was leaking water

It doesn't matter which way you mount them. My 5100's are mounted "upside down".
