I thought it was more involved than that? :notsure:

I still have a .edu email, but Amazon wanted proof of enrollment when my student membership ran out.

I did not have to do that when I set my account up this last summer. They only asked what program I was in and when my expected graduation date was. Maybe I'll find out when it renews and they'll ask for enrollment proof. :notsure:

It's easy to get but they put a time limit on it is all, it only stays active for 4 years.

    https://wellkeptwallet.com/amazon-student-vs-amazon-prime/

It doesn't include the music streaming. Didn't know that. I had the Student when I started taking welding classes at Front Range and eventually they made me convert it to a regular Prime.

Yeah that's what I was just reading. They also now may ask you at anytime during the 4 years for proof of enrollment. So I will sit back and wait for them to ask while attempting to control my spending :typing:

They never asked me to prove anything. Just needed a real enough .edu email that could actual get the validation link.

It's also easy to get free Autodesk products with an .edu email. Solidworks makes you pay, just less than a real full license. They also want a copy of registrations in an applicable field.

Yeah, same with software dev products. Easy to get most through the school portal. Solidworks is a whole different animal. I casn see them being more strict. They've always been weird to deal with even on corporate licensing. I used to manage all the maintenance contracts, license managent tools, pdmworks, etc for our r&d back in California.
You guys that know your way around that software are cool to watch while your working in it
